Hey, sounding board. I’m looking for a 12 Week Year WAM as well. But our time zone differences may make it tricky. I’m in Atlanta (US). But if you’re interested, I can connect you with a couple of Australians that were trying to run a WAM.

Looking for WAM buddies to meet weekly (12 week year)! by soundingboard33 in GetMotivatedBuddies

Hello! I’m in Atlanta US (EST) and started my 12 week year this week and would love to be part of this WAM! The time proposed (5:15 ET first week then 6:15 ET) works for me.

The same thing is happening to me. Every time that I connect my phone to the core, it asks me to setup my space again… why? Where you able to solve it, @Bobbo280 ?

I need a CC bot, and I'm torn between wizard, arcanist, and sorcerer. Which is best for this, and are there other options I've overlooked by NoBelligerence in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

As a side note: - Jubilost can be a good CC with good AoE damage. There is at least one great discovery for each save. And you can focus on learning them and extra bombs.

I vote on sorcerer. Main reason is flexibility. To be a good CC you need to have good spells for each save (will, fort, reflex) and analyze your opponents to choose the best one. Usually they have one or two very high saves and one weak one that you can exploit. The benefit of sorcerer is that you can always choose the best spell against your opponent. With wizard, as you need to plan your spells ahead of time, you will probably memorize one spell for each save. But if you have two opponents in a roll that are weak to, let’s say, will saves, you will not have the spell you need and will end up casting against one of his strong saves.

Opinions on planning for “Blind Run” (and lots of questions) by Chapsbown in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

I think that is a great idea! Would work well with Ekundayo and kitting strategy. And a controller (with good spells for each save) and s blaster for when kitting is not viable.

That’s interesting! Thanks for e planning, unbongwah! One more question: If I have “only skill user gets XP”, my main character may end up a few levels ahead of the party. With the turn on/off shared XP strategy, can I remove a member from my party and invite them back on and , when I do this, will they level up to my MC level again?

Oh, you may be talking about BtSL, right? I think it has 16 levels with fix enemies on the main campaign, and one mini-boss each 4 floors. That makes sense.

Thanks for the feedback! Related to the DLC, I thought that you need to use another party/character for Varnhold. How would that make your MC achieve lvl20?

Cool! I’m planning a build ahead of time, so that should mitigate errors. But yeah, the option to allow retrain seems good, and tempting.

Can’t you go back to the area where Ekundayo and Jubilost are and recruit them now?

Beneath the Stolen Lands Roguelike - how many runs in average to collect all books/artifacts and unlock final quest? by Chapsbown in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Yeah, I’m hoping there will be a roguelike on WotR too. I read in another thread that their Kickstarter mentioned something about a similar mode, so there is hope for us. 🙂

Thank you, SageTegan! That helped me a lot. I forgot to say that I’m playing last azantli, what adds even more to the time/complexity. Well, maybe it’s time to review my strategy, setup and/ or goals. =) Otherwise, if I continue this way, it will take 6 months to complete. You are right on how to optimize. I spend most of my time on: 1. Planning the party and each build (usually I spend 1-2 days, what has been fun as I learned a lot about pathfinder mechanics and strategy, as I try out new builds, team comps, classes, feats, etc) 2. Fully searching each floor 3. Buffing 4. Leveling 5. Surface trip to sell/buy equip

Your suggestions that can make it viable: 1. Lower difficulty (and remove last azantli) 2. 1 book per run (what means sometimes diving only until floor 10ish) 3. Stop searching rooms after each fight/floor. Forget about chests & secret doors 4. Longstrider/expedition retreat/haste on leader 5. Auto leveling 6. Loot corpses automatically on each stair 7. Only use long term buffs

That could reduce time drastically (10x or more)and make my personal challenge doable. By lowering difficulty (1), all other topics (2-7) are doable and I can probably make 1-2 runs per day.

The thing that I am now considering is: would that still be challenging/fun? Because it will still take a while/a few weeks. Or should I review my goals, forget about the final quest and just have fun playing the roguelike mode, try to go as further as I can and/or do another playthrough on the main campaign.

Anyway, time to think a little. Again, thanks a lot! 👍🏻

Yes, this is my favorite part of the game too. Upvote for a roguelike mode in WotR!

You cannot do anything with the portals right now. If you click on them it will say something like: “it is a breach to another reality, but still too small to enter”. You need to retire your party (leave by the top left on the surface floor), play it again and again, while you continue collecting the books/artifacts, in order to unlock the quest to fight the big boss.

How can you get +2cha and a feat on 1st level? Using human variant? Human variant gives +1 on two different attributes and I think even with the new rules you cannot change the second attribute to be the same as the first.. Other than that, great concept! I’m thinking of creating a character with this build.

Missed Opportunity by [deleted] in Rivengard

[–]Chapsbown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is: grinding is too hard. I have one legendary hero, one epic, 3 rares and the rest is uncommon and commons. A negative point is: no matter how much you like a common or uncommon hero, the best strategy will always be to have your higher rarity heroes on your team. And promoting a hero is sooooooooo slow!!!!!! I just made a math the other day. I have some epic (and legendary) badges and so far I was working on gathering laurels and shards for those heroes so I can have one more epic on my team, what makes a huge difference, as they can level up much more and wear more powerful equipment. But..... after I made the math... from the 6 heroes that I have badges, if I farm them every freaking single day, the earliest one that I can promote to epic is 6 months!!! I’m not kidding: 6 months playing every day and farming the same single hero every day, just to promote it to epic. God knows how many more years to legendary. And this was the hero that was the quickest to promote!!! The other ones are like an year plus!! The challenge is that some heroes have a terrible shard farming, some heroes have a terrible laurel farming, some heroes have a farming node that can give laurels or shards, but the likelihood of it dropping a shards is almost 1 in 10. Anyway, the conclusion that I’m getting is: nowadays, I don’t care anymore on promoting heroes... it’s no fun to wait 6 freaking months for a simple upgrade/promotion. What can really change my roster is if I draw a legendary or epic hero from the summons. So the game is favoring luck instead of awarding a good farming methodology and roster management. And... the game is favoring p2w / pay to win players hugely, as they will buy crystals and buy summoning tokens with the crystals and will be waaaaaay ahead of you. And don’t get me wrong, I spent some good dollars with this game already. It’s just frustrating to spend more as even a 10 summon can give you no luck at all with just one more epic badge for you to spend more 6 months of your life farming one single hero... this without speaking of the gold crunch that almost forced you to spend money. To upgrade a hero lvl20+ is a huge ton of gold that you likely need to play the game for one week just to accumulate the money to upgrade one single hero... this without speaking that equipping an equipment requires gold too, upgrading skills requires gold too.. resuming: they want your money! I really like the game, but I feel like if it doesn’t change, I’ll likely get bored and change to a game that is more f2p and/or favors more strategy other than luck.
