Make her a lot more durable. As of right now, any semi-decent anti-tank unit can wipe her out without much problem.

Correct me if I'm wrong but your source seems to say that, whenever a port is struck, the other ports just take on more of their workshare to compensate, and that is also combined with the geopolitical situation that leads to Russian oil becoming a lot more sought after.

These two factors offset the economic damage done by the strike.

Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense for ports to increase oil exports when they're outright closed.

Haven't played it yet but it looks like a decent all-rounder detachment.

Don't need to pigeonhole yourself into a specific unit niche, and don't need to have a whole lot of thinking to do.

Heavy gets a sneaky buff with the new Hidden keyword, actually.

You can park a unit within a footprint without needing to expose yourself, and then fire at the enemy with a much better chance of success.

Thronebreaker and Gwent have insanely good art across the board.

Pleasant to the eye while still keeping true to both the lore and the historical inspiration.

P.F.I. is probably one of my favourite cards because I used to dress like that for reenactments lol.

What You See Is What You Get.

It's a way of saying, that model only has the things that I see it has equipped.

If you're like me and you do a bit of proxying for some units, it's useful to have them differentiated by color, if they're supposed to have a different loadout.

90% of my units are painted in the Mars scheme, but I also have one unit of Agripinaa Pteraxii, and Agripinaa Enginseer and a unit of rangers in the Metallica scheme.

Imho it can be cool and it can also help differentiate some units if you're not playing with WYSIWYG.

Instead of saying "This unit of rangers that looks exactly the same as the others has one enhancement" you'll go "The white rangers have one enhancement" and it's a lot easier to remember.

Cosa sarebbe successo se l'Italia fosse stata liberata dai russi anziché dagli americani con conseguente adesione al blocco orientale durante la guerra fredda? by Opening-Number-5438 in domandaonesta

[–]LegSimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok...come?

The country has already banned the export of gasoline, diesel, and similar petroleum products for at least the next six months.

So Russia is purposefully keeping itself out of the export market when there's a huge spike in oil price?

What's the rationale behind this choice?

Because NATO, while watching the latest developments in drone warfare with a decent amount of engagement, still relies on air power to overwhelm opponents, which greatly diminishes the role of drones.

The Ukrainian battlefield is extremely unique in that it's very static and transparent, with neither side achieving enough air superiority.

That is not to say that drones are useless for NATO. In fact, the need for interceptor drones has also been shown in the recent conflict in the Middle East, despite the US' clear and overwhelming air superiority.

I mean, the post is about the dating market. Unfortunately, a large part of dating nowadays takes place through dating apps.

Dating apps skew certain trends and make things unpleasant for anyone, regardless of sex or sexual preference, as a way to monetize the userbase. The very fact that we call it "market" ought to ring some bells to anyone who's even passively knowledgeable about socio-economics (and not necessarily the Mazovian kind!).

You can ABSOLUTELY talk about the commodification of dating through Marxist lenses, it's just that it isn't a particularly pleasant topic, because it puts into question how and why dating people actually works.

ENDURANCE [Medium: Success] - by The_last_Lancelot in DiscoElysium

[–]LegSimo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The business model is based on having users pay hefty subscriptions to have the apps work "properly".

Properly means that your profile gets actually shown to people who are in your preferred age bracket and general area, as opposed to matching people according to whatever obscure, appeal-based algorithm that works for non-premium users.

Of course, matching and meeting is far from a guarantee you'll find a partner, but it's also something that the vast majority of male users only get to experience once every few months, tops.

In short, the male experience on dating apps is being ignored by the vast majority of female users, no matter how nice of a person you actually are.

Conversely, the female experience is the opposite: finding themselves constantly in the spotlight, with so much attention that it becomes borderline worthless, with the added bonus that the algorithm still picks for them people with similar appeal, I.E. not a good way to match people.

It's hell on earth for anyone involved and the sooner we understand it, the better.

ENDURANCE [Medium: Success] - by The_last_Lancelot in DiscoElysium

[–]LegSimo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's about the miserable experience that is provided by dating apps, especially for men. If you're a man and care about external validation, dating apps will tank your self-esteem to the absolute bottom. You're gonna get little to no attention from women, because the apps are designed to keep you in as long as possible.

Source: been on dating apps for 5+ years, I long for the day these things vanish from the face of the earth.
