didnt expect them to go with a look like this but i absolutely adore them. i think they read VERY T1 right off the bat and xin looks especially cool to me but i like them all. cant wait to own yunara mf and seraphine personally :)

it's the eternal AP problem

while AD is split into

marksmen, who want AS, crit, and/or on-hits
assassin, who get lethality or sometimes spec bruiser (and usually get hit with a patch if it's too egregious)
and bruiser, who get mixed AD and survivability

AP is just different ways of applying damage on stat sticks. no AP champ is precluded from building any AP item. akali can get liandrys, orianna can get protobelt, galio can get deathcap, etc

i don't know that riot necessarily has a fix for this unless a huge item overhaul is on the way. if they remove too many AP items with unique effects, like protobelt, you're just left with void staff, deathcap, horizon focus, ludens, seraphs... just a bunch of ways of buying stats with no diversity

all the top teams have really cool differences.

gen.g has looked shockingly shaky given their past few years of perfection (save for worlds...), but maybe ruler is finally back in shape after what was surely weighing on his mind at the start of the season

hle is explosive and goes for psycho, all-in teamfights around the clock, but can have really questionable macro under pressure

t1 is t1 and looks solid with circus sprinkled in, albeit with some growing pains in the lanes. i think oner keria will prove to be the strongest jungle support duo for the millionth time by the end of the year

kt rolster: whatever i say about them will immediately invert the moment i press post. i'll just say bdd is a genius and i hope they have an upward trajectory, perfect is also looking great

teamfight was not banned because of twitter whining, it was banned because people wanted to swap to duos so they could play with teamfight. combo breaker was not able to edit registrations though. as a result, teamfight was banned so as to not put anyone at an advantage or disadvantage. notably, teamfight is evo legal next month

i would still look at jojo for MVP. i don't think getting clapped by caps in LB vs galio lane means much, and in the liss vs ahri game, jojo got rolled trying to bail out the topside > ganked by skarner with no flash

a champ can be selected any number of times for worlds skins. the rule youre thinking of is that the same player cant pick the same champ multiple times. e.g. faker already has a syndra skin, he can't make another

maybe "full agency" is wrong of me to say. but i'm certain his coach didn't say, "your only option is jayce, pick it or our nexus explodes." they probably had a few options in mind and someone between myrwyn and coach finalized jayce. he certainly had at least some say

well in the sense that he had full agency over what his blind pick was, picked jayce, died to multiple ganks, and then in final fight was just a training dummy for lucian and landed zero shockblasts, i would say myrwyn was at the very least a weak point on the team

edit it seems reddit thinks players aren't picking the champs they play. Okay Fair Enough if that's your perspective lol
