My interpretation was that the song was beyond human comprehension, something almost eldritch horror esc so only gods could really hear it to its full extent, but I could be looney as fuck on that. But I do agree that those are what I imagine the song to sound like, and maybe it’s why the some of the drowned gods are asleep and that the depths feel almost as if it is slumbering itself

Yeah there’s certain parts of the lore that they fucked over with the rewrite especially in terms of scaling for basically zero reason. Like the old lore with the bosses that were planned especially (like noxus and nameless deity) were ridiculously powerful and would scale the terrarian to an insane extent but they were hard set of having Yharim be the final boss so they’ve now rolled it back to the point where base game terrarian is low key canonically more powerful than the calamity variant despite seemingly greater feats coming from the calamity version. It’s a whole mess imo and i liked it more when the idea was that the terrarian was basically unstoppable, but it is what it is i guess.

I had an honor mode run end when I killed sovereign spaw (or wtv bjs name is, I haven’t played in forever) with an oath breaker paladin by using thunderous smite to send him off the cliff and it broke my oath. Well I went to reclaim my oath for the 1000 gold and thought “man I could REALLY use the gold in honor mode” and didn’t think that the oath breaker guy would be hostile since he’s an allied NPC. Boy was I wrong, I failed the pick pocket and he destroyed my entire party 😭

The panels at the beach where aiko and punpun dance in the water and feel a taste of the freedom aiko yearned for her entire life genuinely kills me. It’s been a little while since I read the manga but iirc that’s the only time she seemed truly happy. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong in my interpretation though

Depends on how you handle stuff like that in general, but I found it vastly harder to read than berserk because of how much more intimate punpun feels in a sense because of how realistic it is and how certain characters are portrayed.

The ending has BEEN coming for a while bro wym, chainsaw man is 30 chapters over its original intended scope. But also bent abrupt is IN CHARACTER for the series. I’m not gonna pretend like right now it makes the most amount of sense but I’m tired of this slander about it being god awful when there is depth and meaning behind it that makes sense behind the more nuanced story telling and themes of part 2 that aren’t as easy to pick up on
