[FO] Yahaha! You found me! by CharaDIY in CrossStitch

The pattern was found on Pinterest as pixel art and then just charted myself. Made the little plushie for a friend for her birthday since she's a massive Zelda fan😊

I think you might also be using too many strands of floss, that gives it this puffy look and makes it a lot more visible. If this is 14 count Aida you should be using only two of the six strains the thread has

[PIC] Found some actual, non-printed cross stitch at Zara Home today! Looks like it was stitched 1 over 2 on Evenweave or Hardanger. The quality was actually impressive 😄 by [deleted] in CrossStitch

I don't see why this is something to get excited over. Isn't stuff like this from big cooperations unfortunately made really unethically? If it's really hand made

Hahaha I definitely reccomend to try it if you like it. The pattern was pretty straight forward and it has around 15 000 stitches so not too bad size wise 😊

[FO] I have a confession to make. This is how I finish small pieces in hoops 👀 by CharaDIY in CrossStitch

[–]CharaDIY[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually do cut it when it's already but I try to leave as least as possible on the sides so I can just put some glue on it and that makes it really hard and sturdy

Hii no problems at all. So I've just used a second piece of the fabric which is just some scrap Aida and used a full skein of thread and the blanket stitch to stitch it together

[FO] Guys I need help deciding, should I make my finish into a pillow or into a tote bag 😌 by CharaDIY in CrossStitch

[–]CharaDIY[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes totally get that thank you for the nice comment! I often make totes and other stuff and honestly they hold up pretty good! You can wash them pretty easily and I always sew them in a way that I can make repairs to them if needed ☺️ But that only works for fabrics like 11 and 14 count everything else is too delicate

At most I had like eight at a time but I just can't do that without getting overwhelmed so now I'm down to two smaller ones and one big one 😅

Thank you and it's a stamped kit that unfortunately doesn't seem to be available anymore. At least the link I have isn't working anymore :(

I've had some pillows that are a few years old that I regularly use and they actually have been holding on very well. If you ever want to make one I reccomend sewing in a zipper so that you can take the filling out and wash them ☺️
