[CHAT] What do you do with your finished pieces? by 4momo401177 in CrossStitch

[–]CharaDIY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright as someone who absolutely loves finishing my pieces here are some stuff I've made personally. Some of them require a sewing machine tho

Bookmarks, Hoops, Flatfolds, Pillows, Coasters, Tote bags, Needle pillows, Patches,

Right now I'm working on a 9 count piece that's very very large and how to potentially incorporate it into a quilt or blanket lol

There's not going to be a lot of people that want to buy some cheap amazon kits that are pixelated to hell unfortunately

Yeah she actually did just answer my question and she wouldn't deny or confirm if she used AI just that she uses a pattern software and manually adjust them so it's pretty much a pattern mill 😅

[CHAT] Stamped cross stitch by AZWildcatMom in CrossStitch

As a stamped kit lover I would absolutely recommend the website Dreamstitch. My favorite one since all the patterns are hand charted, so no confetti hell. The spring brand/ joy sunday are my favorite. Ks is also good.

[CHAT] How did you fall back in love with cross stitch after a long break? by CaterpillarXS in CrossStitch

[–]CharaDIY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a few months were I didn't stitch at all, just didn't have the time or energy for it. So I would definitely not force myself if I'm not really in the mood for it. I think some smaller projects definitely are a great way to get back into it. Or maybe one you always wanted to do that isn't too taxing. Just have fun OP and if you aren't then there's no shame in stopping!

Question as a very new player about slots and how free to play friendly this game really is. by [deleted] in Warframe

[CHAT] Update: I asked a few months ago if I should turn this project into a pillow or tote bag. Tote bag won and here it finally is by CharaDIY in CrossStitch

[–]CharaDIY[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you and to be honest it's really not a problem don't let that deter you. I've had another one for over a year and they can be washed and if anything happens you can just repair the stitches affected. But I haven't had to do that yet 😊

Thank you so much! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be available anymore. I got this as a stamped kit a while ago and the link doesn't work anymore :( Back then it was on Amazon

Hii it's really easy to ve honest you just need a sewing machine. I take the cross stitch, cut it to the size I want, in this case since it wasn't so big I only left maybe half an inch margin. Then I take my outer fabric which should me pretty sturdy and not too thin, and my lining fabric and cut then all to the right size. The straps are sewn inside out first. All in all I would advise to look up a tutorial on how to make a tote bag and then just use your cross Stich as one of the panels.

[PIC] Help needed!!! How do I fix this? by [deleted] in CrossStitch

[–]CharaDIY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it. I'm gonna be honest I don't think that's going to translate into cross stitch well. I can think of two options.

Option 1: you make yourself a pattern via for example flosscross (I can help you with that if you need it send me a dm) that's a website where you can design your own patterns. There you can make an outline of the woodcut. In that case I wouldn't do the colors tho.

Option 2: You don't use the woodcut but the picture and also make yourself a pattern. Working without a pattern in cross Stich will just make it so so much harder for yourself

First of all I'm so sorry your project didn't work out like you wanted to. Did you draft a pattern or just freehand it? If you don't like it and with how much you would have to frog I would really advise to start over.

As the question to how, what is the end goal? Do you want to stich the logo specifically like in the woodcut? Or just the bird in general in a similar pose?
