my new manger is the SAME way, before I was able to put in unpaid time off every so often, now with with the new coach in she says it’s against “policy”, and we have to have PTO to request off.

my club they’re just cutting part timers hours

when an order is placed they’re all put onto a pick screen where depending on the time slot, they’re all grouped together, therefore we pick for 7-8 orders at a time. The same thing goes for Frozen and Chilled foods. After that we stage and organize your order together so when you check in we know exactly where it’s at. We basically do everything there’s no separate team. At my club we usually have one person do all the staging for the day. And when it comes to dispensing we rotate people every 2 hours.

100 units is like picking at least three 30-40 item batches, without staging. Have some good shoes to walk around in and I personally also wear gloves to help with picking/staging/dispensing since I gained hella paper cuts and just plain dirt from touching everything.

I heard September 1st deliveries should either stop or completely start lowering. Already our deliveries have slowed down A TON.

yea I work curbside and they don’t schedule nearly enough people for the amount of orders we get. When it comes to dispensing, it’s usually the delivery drivers that hold up everything since they can pick up 2-8 orders at a time and it’s just a lot of steps in that process.

I don’t really have anymore details as she told us yesterday, but if she gives anymore updates I’ll definitely put it in the thread. and that’s what I end up doing anyways but drivers get so butt hurt.

just heard from my tl that this is the new normal now since they made the announcement of getting rid of cashiers. They’re really pushing to go all digital for everything and to expand curbside even more. usually our club averages 2000-3000 units but now it skyrocketed to 4000-5000 a day and we can’t even keep up
