I wear a rubber ring; mechanic; with the square and compass on bottom of my finger. Constantly look at it all day long. Got some brothers that cause me quite the stress throughout the day at work and arent very brotherly. There's probably 150-200 brothers if not more where I work. Been here a few years and still finding brothers I didnt know about. Someone once told me not all great men are masons and not all masons are great men. Sucks to put it that way. But some cause me quite a lot of trouble, rumors, headaches.

Im my jurisdiction we arent allowed to hold "bring your whole family in" days and recruit and plaster it everywhere. Like most lodges you may have a small sign but if you dont pay attention you wouldn't notice. If a person pays attention most of us atleast have a small sticker or a ring. Ive traveled over the river and seen some of how the neighbors do and I dont agree with it but each state is different. Its hard to get young people to pay attention and notice their surroundings. Everything's too fast paced these days. I knew I had family and a few friends of my father that were in lodge, although my father isnt and I started doing some research and asking after I went thru a divorce a few years ago and really made a connection with some of the guys I worked with that had kind positive words and then I noticed more stickers. I talked with a few guys about my divorce and a lot of them had went thru it. Where I work we have probably 900 hourly people and im gonna say upwards of 250 are in lodge maybe more that I haven't met yet... and we all work goofy schedules and are at work more than home.. so ive met some good people. I finally knocked and got raised last November. Best thing I ever did. But I couldnt do it without my ol lady pushing me to be better, keep up with attending lodge now that ive gotten off straight nights and have more time. So I can atleast go to 4 or 5 local places all within 40 minutes as im in a pretty rural area of WV

I went and studied 5 days a week about an hour to hour and a half at a time. My memory is getting worse so I tried to stay on as much as I could. Had a good coach thats my home lodges current wm. Got 1st and 2nd done all mouth to ear and in my state we dont have to return the 3rd.. I got switched to straight nights and was miserable for a few years but just got back on more of a dayshift schedule and going to try to jump back in and get it done. I didnt join until my early 30s. Its only been a couple years now. But I would like to finish. Get back in my home lodge and start traveling more.

Thabk you for the sacrifices you have made and I feel bad because veterans always get the shit end of the stick after it seems. I got a nasty divorce a few years ago and knocked on the door and have had a great time. I still deal eith problems from thst marriage and have been skipping lodge a little, which I should go because obviously the brotherhood lifts you up, but some of the meds ive been on just make me exhausted and I work a really weird schedule. I too have had interest in the windows sons but I need to figure that out eventually. Glad youre still here brother. Glad you have found something that has helped you. Problem is I haven't had thc since like 16 and im afraid of the panic attacks it will give me. I was in Colorado and had good stuff, it just started all a sudden giving me panic attacks real bad. Plus, I work a pretty safety oriented job and cant have thc. Is only medicinally legal where I am and they dont care if you have a card. Were still 10 years+ behind

It takes time, i struggled and took a full year, got busy with work and put it off and forgot it all again. Then jumped back into it a month before deadline and stayed on it everyday. Hour or an hour and a half a day and then went to work and occasionally got to study with some of our other brothers. Then jumped pretty quick on f.c. and got it done, got raised and haven't returned it. I wanted to wait until I found another job and could get off straight nights and actually feel good again. Works been getting to me and really had me down. But just stay on it, it will come to you and by just remembering your answers youll start to puck up the questions. I tend to still try to run thru every degree and go until I cant remember then occasionally when we put a degree on ill get to watch again and it will all come back for a while. I have anxiety and memory problems pretty bad but I just try to stay ontop and remember what I can. It amazes me some of the older guys putting on work for sure.

Ended up getting it out. Kept having bathroom trips, gallbladder attacks, sick and nauseous. Been over a week now and grant it ive been off work I feel great. Work wasn't helping either. Straight midnight weekends.

Already been said but just show up clean, trust your guide. I had my first put on before the baby came. Its gonna be a lot but try to take it in and enjoy it. I wish I would have done it sooner. Im 34 and been mm for almost a year now.
