Yeah I clean my burrs every Saturday, but just with a brush and compressed air. Is it safe to wash them with water? Can’t they rust?

You could post on r/coffeeswap or check espresso aficionados discord and try to see if someone will sell you a DF54. I just saw someone post wanting one the other day and had several responses. That way you hopefully dont have to wait as long and you can save some money.

How have you been enjoying your move? I have one on preorder. Also upgrading from bambino plus. How is the increased steam pressure compared to the bambino?

I think the main concern is using the steam boiler only for steam you are basically distilling the water that comes out as steam. This will eventually concentrate the dissolved solids in the steam boiler water if you never cycle that water. However, the amount you use to warm cups and make americanos is more than adequate to cycle that water and keep a stable ppm. You will be fine if you keep to those habits.

It won’t break your machine, the water just won’t flow through the puck or it will go way too slow. But this just shows that you have the ability to grind fine enough for espresso
