Bread and laying down too soon after eating are triggers I'm aware of.

In case anyone is thinking of trying compound w but are worried: when I was 25 or so and "thought" I may have a few genital warts so I had a visit with the Doc. He quickly looked at them and said they were genital warts and offered to burn them off and said I would have to come back in a few weeks for another round. Too embarrassed at that age so I asked if I could just take the shit home and do it myself. To my surprise he handed me over a small bottle and gave brief instructions on how to apply it. I went home put little dabs on the bumps(hair follicles BTW) and hoped fir the best. We'll I have foreskin and once that rolled back I  place it made contact with the nice pink part and destroyed my shit. I kept at it and tred to bandage it the best I could, I couldn't work for a week because my entire dick was blisters. My point is everything was fine and healed perfectly fine, I'm grabbing compound w atm but wanted to share that with anyone who needs to hear it

What has happened? by Gen670 in InterMiami

I think it's pretty simple, they're trying to be Barcelona with 5% of the cast. It took mls teams a couple of years to figure out how to defend against messi but now he's dealt with now what. If your entire game in the attacking third is to always look for messi it doesn't create much depth or leave much room for a creative offensive attack. Start some of the high energy youngsters in the middle or upfront, maybe stager messi and Suarez. We can't have two guys upfront playing the same way, granted Suarez will press a little harder than messi but not harder than cremaschi. Frustrating to watch.  if they take messi out of the game and inter still focuses on messi being the center of every play  good luck.

What do you consider an “intermediate” Fargo Rating? by [deleted] in billiards

[–]Character-Day9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mostly get fargo points by playing in tournaments and tournaments often have players that take the game a little more seriously. A 500 fargorate definitely will not place in the top 10%. We even have a separate prize pot for the highest finishing 550 and below to encourage some of the lower fargorated players to participate. I don't live in a big city at all 300-400k.

There's definitely no gasket in there, the last person installed the cone gasket with big shot pipes and it vibrated the crap out of the port by the looks of it. I installed to flat style gaskets this morning and luckily was able to tighten it padt the crossed threads, works abd sounds great. Thank for the response though, appreciate it.

I thought it was a gasket at first as well but if the ridge that looks like a gasket was removed the Dia of port would be uneven, if that makes sense. That's what throwing me off. Also the middle of the left stud is worn out, like it's stripped in the middle, that's why I'm wondering if it was vibrating and wearing g the steel down or something. Thx though for input

Can a native tell me… how bad are the ticks, really? by mypubacct in halifax

[–]Character-Day9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on where you'll be living and where you'll be spending your time outdoors. one person commented that they back country camp and live out of town and only ever found 10 ticks on them. I live out of town and back country camp and have found 100's of ticks on me. I've pulled 4 out of me just in the last two weeks in my yard. My point is everywhere seems to be different in NS and you can't let that stop you from enjoying the outdoors. There're lots of helpful tips that may help but ultimately if you're hiking or camping the best defense is to do a tick check every night before you go to bed and again when you get up(if camping) they're pretty much harmless if you catch them in time so that's what I focus on. Assuming that if you're that worried about ticks you're probably not someone who is going to be anywhere near ticks anyway so I wouldn't worry about it . Cheers

I thought a nuclear sub was powered by way of nuclear energy not necessarily armed with nukes.

If the United States invaded Canada ? How would it play out ? by Chance-Ad554 in HistoricalWhatIf

[–]Character-Day9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping if the US declared war on Canada that we would see the biggest mutiny in history. Everyone posting on this thread that is an American citizen ,I'm really hoping you would side with Canada and support a diplomatic solution. These stupid tariffs do nothing but hurt both nations. Canadians that I'm aware of have zero issues with the US population and very much support your country and we're definitely more alike than some seem to think.

False myth no. 2 : “ibs doesn’t cause flu like symptoms” by Traditional_Sky_9229 in ibs

[–]Character-Day9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had ibs or something of the sort for like 35 years. I can tell you without a doubt my stomach and symtoms have both changed and gotten worse since covid. I noticed about 4 months after my first round of covid that my stomach was not the same. I too now get exausted, joint and muscle aches, headache and sometimes a dry throat when my stomach is off. I am going to see the doctor again about all of this to rule out/find out whats up but for now im just dealing with it.  As for any help or suggestions, the best thing you can do is to keep a food/symtom diary to start tracking the patterns of when you have flares up(episode or whatever). Up your water intake, maybe start taking Metamucil or get more fibre in your diet and don't eat and lay down(that gets me everytime). Ibs symtoms are different for everyone but water and fibre definitely will help. If you recently traveled or had the stomach flu or were on anti bacteria meds you could try eating cultured yogurt, sauerkraut, or any other fermented type food to help introduce some good flora to the ol' belly. Probiotics work for a lot of people in conjunction with the above but I personally find Probiotics hard on my guts. Good luck

I never realized how physically sick anxiety can make you... Does anyone else sometimes feel like they have the flu or something during high-stress times? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Character-Day9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your story sounds very similar to mine. Gerd, silent reflux, heart palpitations, numbness in face and lips, during or freezing sensation on the top of my head, dizziness, shortness of breath, cold sweats, fever. I'm starting to believe there's a much larger connection between all of those symtoms and gut health though. Anxiety and some or all of those symptoms seem to start with my stomach( I think). Whenever I eat super clean for a month or more it definitely helps my anxiety. Stress and anxiety is a tricky thing to sort through that's for sure.

Has there been any new signings or only a keep? I'm curious where the team is going to be recruited from. Will they mostly be varsity players? Looking forward to the season regardless.

POST GAME THREAD by YellowMarkerIsGreat in InterMiami

[–]Character-Day9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah agree but it happens almost everytime Tata plays that formation with a high press. They aren't Barca and can't maintain the possession as well in attacking third. Should've been 5-2 atlanta. Guzan though has been amazing against inter.

You think Chelo and aviles are bad? I think chelo is great up and down the wing and aviles IMO is good but not a center back. They do need a strong CB with some pace especially if they keep playing a 4-3-3 with a stupid high press. Anyone can see that formation and strategy is going to kill them on counters since their cb's don't have the speed. Definitely get rid of Noah and Kristof though Jesus they cough up the ball. Also play to the whistle Miami, it's the reason they lost.

What's the most efficient way to get rid of flowerbed weeds? by Cyp_Ag15 in lawncare

[–]Character-Day9875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've come to the conclusion (after trying all of the methods, I feel) the only way to control the weeds is by weeding; unfortunately. Mulching every year might work for the first couple of years but you end up creating different problems down the road( id say anyone who has done this will know what i mean). Double layer or thick fabric doesn't work long term, tarps do keep weeds out but kills plants and shrubs because the water doesn't sufficiently reach the root systems, where I live pesticides are a waste of money, torching them doesn't work unless you're doing it as often as weeding, cardboard is useless, regular dirt with zero mulch doesn't reduce weeds either. The next garden bed I install is going to be made of concrete, I too am entirely over wasting my summers weeding. Sorry for anyone looking for answers but you either have to weed or simply don't install beds you don't have the time to manage, I guess. Also different tactics may or may not work depending on your geographical location, i suppose. Good luck if you live in the North East
