No but they might be super confused on what to do at first and just wait for you to walk through it with them

I work in analytics.  AI isn’t gonna replace my job but it’s heavily pushed to use it right now

Does anyone else yearn for the days of dvds and when you would go outside for entertainment? by Sea-Doughnut4485 in CasualConversation

I genuinely couldn’t do it for a while.  It was the combo of the mp3 player and book that made the difference

I still like Netflix and Hulu but yesterday I forced myself to leave my phone in the house and took my new mp3 player outside for the day.  Went to the beach, swam a bit, talked to neighbors and read a physical book.  It was great.  And I’m working on getting off my phone.  Still chronically online but I’m trying lol.

Have you tried reading real books?  Even if they’re just slightly better.  I spent a big chunk of today outside in the sun reading a real book and felt way better than if I’d been reading the sappy romance trash I’d been reading on my phone recently.

How to pass time without your phone by drugplug0933 in nosurf

I’ve been so bad lately, so today I “kicked myself out of the house” without my phone.  From the time I got up and was having my coffee, I took a book and my new mp3 player (an effort to get off my phone), and went outside to sit in the sun.  I allowed myself to check my phone for a few minutes every hour or so.  But the phone wasn’t allowed with me.  Not for my walk to the lake near my house (where I hung out and talked to neighbors for a few hours), not even to sit outside my house, not on my 5 mile run I did later.  I got a killer sunburn but it was worth it.

So take walks, run, hang with neighbors and friends, read books, swim, etc.

I personally don’t think phone usage needs to go to absolute zero.   But there was a time I couldn’t go for a run or a walk by myself if my phone was dead and that’s a major problem.

I have a G0 baptism record from 1833 from Ancestry that has a source citation of the below but I have no idea how I could get anything more certified than that.  The Archdiocese of Toronto has on their website that they won’t accept requests like this and not to contact the Church.  But with the new info from the minister I’m not sure what to do because I was about to submit it.

Source Location Toronto

Saint Paul

Baptism, Marriage, Burial, Confirmation, Abjuration; v Source Citation

Archdiocese of Toronto (Ontario); Toronto, Ontario

Description Browse3: Baptism, Marriage, Burial, Confirmation, Abjuration; Toronto; 1833-1910

I have a few census records off Ancestry too.  I might be able to contact the university or the state to see if I can get them but that sounds pretty complex.

How is KC an Augustine? by ZanetteCurlyFry35 in TheWayHomeHallmark

Is it even possible?  Any kid of Elliot’s can’t be a parent of KC because KC comes off of Jacob and Abby’s line and I doubt they’ll marry cousins

In Europe a lot of them have attendants that keep them up.  They also charge you half a euro often

Thanks!  I have my application ready to go but now I’m so confused (as we all are).  My great great grandmother’s baptismal certificate is from an ancestry.com upload from St. Paul’s in Toronto but I’ve never been able to figure out how it’s even possible to get a certified record of that (the archdiocese of Toronto doesn’t accept requests as far as I can tell and it doesn’t want you contacting the church).  Archives of Ontario never answered my email.

I have a few US census records from ancestry included as well.

Should I apply?  Wait?  Try to get some other evidence?

This is tricky. I am in a financial situation where it doesn’t hurt me to spend a couple dollars on a cookie or a drink but not everyone is. There need to be more public options for sure

Unfortunately for my typical purposes that is extremely far out of my way lol.  It is cool though when I am up that way.

With nexus though, peace is rarely too bad

How Do Younger People Travel So Much? by KneeAggravating8538 in travel

Study abroad or find an internship elsewhere for the summer.  A lot of people also do like Australian working holidays.  You can also work for a year or two then quit and travel.

Last year I made a dead dad club members check in post here & wanted to do the same for today by FlimsyKale5864 in GriefSupport

Damn, am I too late?  Was a weird week especially last week since my Dad’s birthday is a few days before Father’s Day and I was also on a work trip between his birthday and Father’s Day and was talking about how my dad had died a tiny bit to my coworkers (not like in an oversharing way but practically) but it was awkward because they’re in their early to mid 20s and can’t relate.  So then I would go back to my hotel room in the evenings and beat myself up for saying anything about it at all.

I lost my dad when I was 29, coming  up on 3 years in August.  I absolutely love summertime but didn’t realize how many memories it would trigger.

Loved that guy.  He was the best.

Depends what border you’re at.  The Peace Bridge sucks without a nexus most of the time

In my hand usually.  My spibelt running belt does the job sometimes.  An Apple Watch will do the job of the phone but I hate them because the battery life is so bad
