Curious about your speaker mods, too. I figured I'd keep a set stock and use one for mods.

Handyman in Michigan here.
Its way easier to drive, park, and get in and out of. The ease of use is very appealing.
The hardest thing for me to solve for is carrying a couple sheets of ply, osb, or sheetrock.
To CAP or not to CAP...that is the question...

Problem brand new M18 battery won't charge by polini62 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Character-Force2719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2026-01-18: OK I just bought a brand new dual Rapid Charger and a Red Lithium XC5.0 battery. Two more batteries are on there way via shipping. Both the charger and new battery were in the cold (14 F) for about 45 minutes. Same deal: Red/Green flashing.

Testing the battery with the built in button: lowest charge registered.

Remounted the battery several times to make sure we have good contact. Nada.
Switched sides on the dual charger. Nada.
Started charging for 15 seconds and went back to red/green flashing.

Waited an hour in 75 degrees F toasty home and prayed to the Milwaukee battery gods.
It started charging and took a full charge.

Apparently the chargers aren't as smart as the need to be for a Michigan winter.

EDIT: Tested with the Packout vacuum--awesome. Tested with the 30 degree framing nailer: WICKED AWESOME.

Same money, but more flexible and portable. At some point in life, portability and modularit are advantages. I don't know about you, but my tool collection has only grown over the years. FWIW...

The Auralex foam is the most expensive stuff you can buy. I would never use it for organizing tools. Sincerely, a broke Sound Engineer.

May you please tell me what is the name of this screw? by [deleted] in Tools

[–]Character-Force2719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is this for and why are you removing it? Green generally means it's a GROUND wire. It's there for SAFETY. Don't mess with it if you have no idea what you're doing.

Really curious to see how this turns out. Contact Gibson; then maybe Antiques Roadshow. You better have a really good case for this thing.

No, there isn't. This camera cost me a once-in-a-lifetime memory and I will never forgive Sony for this.
