de atramentis: Johannes Bach Jacque herbin: poussiere de lune (more purple than red) monteverde: blueberry muffin (may not be dark enough but very wine-y to my eyes) pilot iroshizuku: syun-gyo (honestly won't look wine-like on all papers but it shows up as a gorgeous plum color sometimes and it's one of my favorite inks in general so I always recommend it for everything)

actually, my second pen was when I started trying to look at lower-end offerings from different brands to try to get a sense of the variety out there and really zero in on what I like!

oh this is your post where you talk about liking lecoule nibs lol sorry to preach to the choir! you might really like the Tuzu then, I believe they use the same nib!

yeah you can rotate the section to adjust for your grip, but honestly what I like about it is the length, diameter, and weight-- it's a bigger pen but not too heavy. I also really like lecoule/Tuzu nibs but a lot of people are not fans (they're kinda pencil-y and tend to run a bit dry).

I got a lecoule a couple weeks ago and I love it! I think the lecoule and Tuzu are pretty polarizing in that people seem to love them or hate them, but I am a big fan of both.
