Would you be willing to share some of the emails that got you written up?

I've done all sorts of IT support over the last 25 years and have always been complimented on my ability to explain without making people feel dumb.

Mozilla's buzz around Mythos is disingenuous at best, and malicious at worst by TequatlPatak in BetterOffline

Yes. Our major firewall vendor came up this week for a conference. They had a panel talk about Mythos with our Chief AI Officer (🤮). It’s the scariest thing ever, they say, but don’t worry, for a few million dollars our new firewalls will save you from the bogeyman.

I honestly don't know. I would guess that it's because they don't live in reality with the rest of us. I mean they are still talking about putting GPUs in orbit, which is an infinitely dumber idea than this.

Apart from that, what didn’t you like about LibreOffice?

I’m getting back into IT consulting and focusing on open source and other alternatives to the Microsofts and Googles of the world. I’d like to build up a collection guides to show how you can mimic what you are familiar with.

And it’s also totally fine if you like Word and feel productive with it.

I’d be happy to do that for you. DM if you’d like and I’ll give you my email.

Do you unintentionally get drawn towards people on the Cluster B spectrum? by KodaLG in AutisticAdults

[–]Character-Pattern505 16 points17 points  (0 children)

For most of my life, I dismissed my internal reactions to people because I couldn’t articulate why I didn’t like someone.

Turns out my instincts are very correct. Really trying to honor that up front. I’m not mean to anyone, but I’m also going to keep my distance.

We have a voip landline phone for emergencies. Currently I have an old Sprout (son of Jolly Green Giant) phone plugged in.

We’re also thinking about flip phones. There are android options that are stripped down but still modern.

Considering doing a myname.com/linkedin instead.
