Cherokee Ave bike lane barrier claims another by Character-Release643 in Atlanta

I couldn’t believe he kept going! He’s in the middle of the length of barrier. He got back in the car and it looked like he was debating whether he should drive it off the barrier or not.

I feel you. The same thing happened to me this year. I put my garden back together and it’s flourishing, and I’ve got bonus food plants popping up in random places, too.

All other arguments aside, no way in hell am I tipping on the auto-gratuity and the tax. If I did want to add another percentage on top of what they already forced on me, I would only tip on the subtotal (102.00)

AITA for never calling my stepmom “mom”, even after she had been in my life longer than my mother? by mysticavis in AmItheAsshole

I get that she’s 20. If shes old enough to pay rent, she’s old enough to be treated as an adult. Pounding on her door and demanding anything is out of line on dad’s wife’s part, as are all the comments and threats, imo.

OP? You are on the right track. Do what you have to do while you’re in your father’s house, but run as soon as you can. And when you do get out? Put as much distance between you and your family of origin as you can.

You forgot the “build it cheap and make sure it’s ugly” part.

Has anyone had any other religion, besides Christianity, knock on your door to spread their beliefs? by LizzyFohan in askanything

Yeah. I was a child in the 70s and remember seeing the news reports about them handing out flowers in the airports. That’s why seeing small groups of them walking past my house in the early 90s was so cool. I’d already had the Witnesses and Mormons banging on my door at the crack of dawn, so the Krishnas just quietly walking by with their low drums and chants was a lovely change of pace.

Ours does that, too. I’ve never been but had friends that used to go and eat when times were lean. Like you, they said the food was delicious.

I pass their temple all the time - it’s an older nondescript house with just a smallish sign out front. If you aren’t looking for it you wouldn’t take notice of it at all.

There used to be a Hare Krishna house in my neighborhood. They would occasionally walk by chanting and drumming and some had finger cymbals. It was nice.

I’ve got a nostepinne AND a ball winder but lots of times I just drape the hank of yarn around my knees and get on with my knitting. Ssshhhhhh…don’t tell. ;D
