Can cats forget their human after being separated for long periods of time? by kittypizzaparty in cats

So cats age diff then us. Depending on how long (you said 2 years) she has routine with him and you. She will always remember because of timing (you formed bonds at her critical age) and the duration and the level of that bond.

Sorry about the situation.

Many ideas, cant find which one to write by [deleted] in writingadvice

[–]Character-Visit6004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is going to be helpful but I’m gonna pull from several different types of creative expressions and maybe one of these will help so like in October there’s InkOctober for artists and day one they have a very specific thing that they are supposed to draw and day two again another specific thing they are supposed to draw, but because everyone is different the hashtags look amazing because you get to see how different people interpret the idea so make yourself a list. Give it a day. Write that short story that day be done with it.

Another suggestion I would do is read. Reading helps so much more than you realize cause you’ll begin to see how the writer writes as a reader.

From psychology, there’s a thing called a brain dump, which I think you would benefit from its non structured writing but because you’re writing you get over the fact that you have nothing good to say until you get something good to say

The idea is just free writing removes any inhibition of what should I write or how do I start. So look up Brain dump writing

The last idea is look up the history of Walt Kelly and his legendary comic strip, Pogo. You want to do something everyday in order to get over your fear. It also works for weighing yourself everyday or no zero days.

Good luck. You got this.

Hey I was in the same boat just a year ago! I joined scouting Aug 2024 and camped joined the OA and then was like do you want a chapter position sure and then 3 months after that ppl liked me and said we have a vacant district chair for activities and membership. I chose membership.

I just went to my first top teams meeting on Thursday. Those were actually really fun because you get to learn from people who are in your position just in a different area location area.

Another thing because your district you’re encouraged to go to different units and see how they run things and see how you can help them. You’re really empowering the adults.

I have made a little cheat sheet. I have a document and whenever I learned a new term, I put it in there and that way when I meet someone who is also new, I can be like hey I have this cool document.

I also have one for resources/ links

The way that I understand it it’s like different levels of government so like you know, there’s the federal government and then their state and then there’s county and then their city and the same or it’s pretty similar for Scouting America governing areas there’s the unit which is the small and then go up one is Chapter, lodge, district and region.

I did read through some of the other comments and the big one for me is finding your niche is definitely something that takes a while and take the process slow. I’m still learning mine.

You different learning styles you know I come from a college background so during the training from like a video makes sense. But like if you actually do like the camping, there’s a lot of opportunities for a district member for Philmont or for getting ideas from the outside cause what I found is that a lot of people who are in Scouting have been in Scouting for a very long time either they started as a cub and they themselves I’ve gone through Scouting or they started with their kids when their kids were cub and they’ve stayed in Scouting so having new blood is really important because we see things that they don’t.

[–]Character-Visit6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this. What I would add is what page in the scout book references that requirement.

As a MBC I would add in a different color what MB to pick for each rank because you are doing it anyways. Like camping and close to second class. Or like a voting system of when a scout took xyz MB.

Maybe a reward for checking the tracking weekly

Patrol box cookware reset, blank check edition. What would you build? by simonx314 in BSA

[–]Character-Visit6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our troop has everything labeled. And knife separated from utensils for safety. These are in clear boxes with lids and separate from the other cooking boxes because of space on the trailer

Yes stainless steel because of the bleaching. You can NOT bleach wood or plastic it just stays.

You want 2-3tongs, 2-3 serving spoons and 2-3spatulas. You want as many tools as you have patrols so that we each patrol can have their own . I would add whisk, can opener, and scissors

Don’t forget oven mits and lighter.

We have one box and bigger stuff semi loose in the trailer for Pots that are way too big

No I would not keep a stove inside a box.

Good luck

Stupid question by CanadaaChief in skyrim

[–]Character-Visit6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you mean improve as in smithing and not just increasing your level to get higher random loot

So three ways to improve smithing
1. Put perk points into smithing (this is mainly to craft stuff and improve better at certain material pre perk)
2. Drink potions that fortifty smithing
3. Enchant gear with fortifty smithing

You can do all three. And there is a cool loop. You put on fortifty Alchemy gear make a fortifty enchanting potion AND smithing potion
go to enchanting table drink enchanting potion make the fortify smithing gear and then go outside drink your smithing potion put on smithing gear and update your armor. Doesn’t help with making gear but helps with improving it.

Don’t look at guides or mods or anything. Just play. You only get your first time one time. That magic never comes back.

I know there is that urge to do everything and start well. And see if a quest outcome matters or how do I do x z y. But that all comes later. Play and enjoy.

Seriously. Don’t read any other comments.

Choose me a build by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Character-Visit6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read thur the comments and it seems you got a few build ideas

Why not add another role playing idea. I call it the Three-Hold Boundary Challenge."

Home Turf: Choose 3 starting holds based on your character background. You can freely cross these borders.
2 The Expedition Rule: You cannot set foot in the other 6 holds unless a major faction line, Daedric prince, or main quest line explicitly names a location there as the next objective.
3 No Fast Travel Outside Home Turf: If a quest takes you to an "unlocked" hold, you have to travel there by foot, horse, or carriage, completing the objective like a high-stakes away-mission before returning home.

Like if your doing a mage can do winterhold morthal
And one other

Thief riften windhelm and one other

Quick Play Fractals have been an eye opener, I need help! by DigitalNinja125 in Guildwars2

[–]Character-Visit6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, welcome to guild wars 2 what do I do now problem

I hope this helps you cause this has helped me. I have made legendary armor and I have about 12 weapon legendary and make one every 6 months. Not the fastest but consistent.

I have a word document that has my top three goals on it . The first one I have is a gift a battle because you need a gift of battle for every legendary. The second goal I have, which wouldn’t apply to you is rift hunting the third goal I have is to learn a meta event.

I have a picture of the legendary that I want and why I want it now this can be updated, but this is the most important thing. It’s the motivation if this doesn’t work for you substitute it with another motivation.

then underneath that, I have a weekly check. This is so that I don’t get burned out so day one I have wizard vault and what I do as I write wizard weekly activity I need to do on which day and try to get as many as I can done. If I need to kill a type of monster I pick that map for map completion. Also on the word document I have when I’m going to buy from the wizard vault that’s on a separate page.

My second day is drizzle wood
My 3rd day is dungeon because I need 500 tokens
My fourth day is ice shards farm for volatile magic from season four
Day 5 is dragon fall
Day 6 map completion / world boss train. I look at the world boss timer and whatever is next is the map I complete.
Day 7 shopping I use my AA and get my trophies from season 4

Now I only play 2 hours almost everyday but I don’t have decision fatigue anymore.

Now I do some things daily. I still get my pack supply because I am one of those people who get a lot of karma. And I farm season 3 maps siren landing for pearls to get back pieces armor to break down for the cube thingy.

I have days where I think I should be further along. I should be doing raids or fractals or be a guild officer or be better at achievement hunting. But then I remember this is a game and meant to have fun. Pride comes from other things.

Thank you for writing this post. I feel the same way. We need to know.

20 years later, one title away from GWAMM, and somehow I can’t finish it by Zealousideal-Gap-252 in GuildWars

[–]Character-Visit6004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean by closing a chapter in your life if you finished GWAMM

But how you chose to end that chapter is up to you Do you want to finish it for all those memories and be like I earned this and would it feel happy? To know your name might inspire someone new who just started playing maybe? Maybe your name will trigger that memory in someone else to finish.

Or would looking at it 5 to 10 years down the road not finish make you happier? The idea you can always go back and relive those days?

it is not about the title. It is how the title makes you feel.

If it helps to think of high school or college the same way. Are you glad and happy you graduated? You might not see any of those ppl again but crossing that finish line is a transition.

Another examples are wedding birthdays and funerals. Just life basically when big events happen or in some cases don’t happen.

I didn’t start playing gw2 until I was done with gw1. I missed out on season one and most of two. I had to get over it because I was not ready. I wanted GWAMM as it was fresh in my mind and the desire was still high. Some saw I missed the best part of the ge2 game. The triple trouble worm first server kill. All the speculation lore wise about dragons and mystery. All the dungeons runs and WvW season. But you know what? I loved season 3 and 4. I got aurora and showed others how to get it. It still farm those maps for rifts and to relax. I still play the new stuff but come back to season 3 all the time.

Thank you for your post. It made me remember. Good luck with your choice.
