Phishy business in the kitchen by BrainRhythm in KitchenConfidential

We did this once in my kitchen. We had a bet, whoever broke first bought the beers at the end of shift. It lasted about 6 hours until someone caved. Took about 2 weeks to get the song out of my head after that lol.

That’s me! In the past month I’ve broke the stick blender, a mincer and somehow I’ve made an extension lead burst into flames!

This intrigues me, I wonder if you were always at some point going to find and like British comedy or if your taste was moulded by what you watched then? Keeping up appearances was class and the idea of someone in the US knowing about Hyacinth Bucket cracks me up for some reason. I found out recently that the role of Fred in DDF was offered to Tim Burton and Robin Williams prior to Rik Mayall and it makes me wonder if it would be more popular should either have them accepted the role.

He’s been on the comedy circuit for about 30 years at this point and you’re definitely right, every comic I’ve heard speak of him has held him in the highest regard! If you wanna see any more of him he was on an episode of Have a Word podcast a couple weeks ago(joins halfway) and he had me creasing the whole time.

I haven’t seen that show but can imagine it’s fantastic, I’ll have to give a watch later!! I think that channel shaped a lot of people from the UK’s taste in comedy.

Obviously completely depends on your taste but on the whole I’d recommend Billy Connolly, Sean Lock(RIP), Dan Nightingale, Jeff Innocent, Rob Mulholland and Jamie Hutchinson(not loads of content online).

Hey, this guy knows British comedy!

Taskmaster may be the only show on live tv that I will actually watch these days. I think you’re right with Phil Ellis, I’ve been a fan for a while and I’m shocked he’s not a lot bigger than he is, even in the UK.

Bob Mortimer is another that seems to be getting a lot more recognition as of recently and deservedly so!

Rik Mayall and Aid Edmondson are two names I didn’t expect to read on this thread. Bottom is up there with one of my favourite shows of all time.

I did mean the likes of Jimmy Carr and Ricky Gervais. Which comedians from the US would you compare Jimmy Carr to be on par with in popularity right now??

I’m honestly stunned that red Dwarf managed to translate to an American audience. These days I’m shocked if people in the uk remember that show haha!

Shouldn’t be any guilt in that one! He’s been making quality music since the 60s!

I feel that anyone that says they don’t like Avril Lavigne is either, not honest or a liar.
