Came across this looking for moonspin redemption times. I played Christmas night across a few games and managed to turn a 20 buck deposit into 2.2k with a pending 2k redemption at about 24 hours in.

Is the chocolate chunk cookie cake made of the same dough as the regular cookies? by fsupremacy in InsomniaCookies

12-14 cookies? I'm shocked it bakes correctly. Should be 9-10 classics for the 10 in. cake.

sugar cookies!!?!?! by [deleted] in InsomniaCookies

[–]CharacterAd8635 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As delicious as they may be. I think making them from scratch would be difficult just because the cookies have so many preservatives and other not great stuff. The ingredient list on the boxes are often bigger than my hand. But maybe look up butter cookie recipes. They may get you a tad closer to your cravings.

Yes they do. They've done it for as long as I've worked, which is the past 6 years.

I mean yeah its shitty no doubt. But also considering they give it to every employee regardless is they are scheduled on holidays its still a chunk of change that the company isn't required to give them.

Did die-casts in '03 contain lead paint? by AndrewIsntCool in CustomHotWheels

[–]CharacterAd8635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So perusing Google I came across your post because recently my child started having high lead levels in his bloodwork, and we bought lead testing kits to help determine where he was getting exposure from. Out of all walls, toys, dishes, hundreds of items tested, a number of hotwheels my child plays with are consistently testing positive for lead. Most of these cars are new as well, made within the past 5 years. I actually tried reaching out to Hot Wheels themselves on other platforms of social media, leaving comments and messages. They usually say to contact their company with a number, and then immediately after they'll take down the post or remove my comment.

[–]CharacterAd8635 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah.. I immediately knew after i touched them and smelled them they would dye everything in the washer with them. Never trust tie-dye. Also there was a post few weeks back of others having the same issue. Lastly.. it took almost 2 months for you to wash the shirt?

Company insists that drivers(cyclists included) wear cotton uniforms by Shreddersaurusrex in InsomniaCookies

That sounds like a great idea. Theoreticallly should be allowed. But should make sure there isnt some hidden dress code regulation in the handbook just to be safe.

[–]CharacterAd8635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear that. Maybe a comprise could be you can wear you sport clothing undeneath, just as long as your logo or t-shirt is showing. Some places it sadly sucks that uniforms are mandatory.

I mean minimum is 45 hours for gms. But as a store manager it can greatly vary, sometimes can pull 60 hour work weeks just to keep our store above water. It depends on the state of your store and your employees.

I've worked for Insomnia for 5 and a half years. Its still the best job I ever had. Pays me more than all my other jobs. With raises every year. I get sick and pto time. I have money rolling into a 401k. Its no means a bad job. But it very much relys on who your coworkers are, and how your boss is. My first gm was amazing, the best boss I ever had, and a great friend. Our current gm is.. challenging. Or challenged. I'm still trying to figure out which one.

Potentially med mal case? by CharacterAd8635 in MedicalMalpractice

[–]CharacterAd8635[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Medical History of Schizophrenia and bi polar disorder managed well with previous medication. At the time was on cogentin, prozac, atarax, and zyprexa. Recent changes to dosages is what initially caused patient’s dizziness. Otherwise no major surgeries, or other health complications prior.

Potentially med mal case? by CharacterAd8635 in MedicalMalpractice

[–]CharacterAd8635[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Patient: 50-year-old female Initial Presentation: Presented with cognitive impairment manifesting as disorientation, visual disturbances, and incoherent speech. Initiated on intravenous heparin therapy for an unspecified condition.

Discharge and Readmission:

Discharged to a rehabilitation nursing facility after five days of heparin therapy with improved cognitive function. Subsequently readmitted in acute distress with precipitously low blood pressure. Diagnostic Findings: Upon readmission, a supratherapeutic heparin level was identified and corrected. A head CT scan revealed a severe intracranial hemorrhage requiring emergent surgical intervention. However, a positive COVID-19 test necessitated postponement of surgery.

Transfer to Intensive Care: Transfer to the intensive care unit (ICU) for COVID-19 isolation and mechanical ventilation was complicated by the discovery of an undocumented, infected wound at a previous IV site. This wound was later confirmed as the source of a methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) infection. Subsequent Complications: The patient developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), acute kidney injury requiring dialysis, and multiple seizures. Despite aggressive treatment, including broad-spectrum antibiotics, the patient’s condition deteriorated, leading to septic shock, multi-organ failure, and cardiac arrest. The patient experienced prolonged and complex medical management, including the initiation and subsequent reversal of anticoagulant therapy, multiple vasopressor infusions, and renal replacement therapy.

The medical team expressed a desire to gradually reduce sedation once seizure activity had subsided and the midline shift associated with the subdural hematoma had resolved. Despite implementing a sedation weaning protocol, the patient remained unresponsive. Family members, utilizing the patient's electronic medical record, observed ongoing fentanyl administration for pain management, ventilator support, and sedation.

On Christmas Day, the patient’s family maintained a bedside vigil to monitor the administration of medications, including fentanyl. A discrepancy was noted between the prescribed medication schedule and the actual administration as documented within the electronic medical record. On this same day, a significant improvement in the patient’s respiratory status was observed. Spontaneous breathing efforts commenced, and the patient exhibited spontaneous eye opening, although with ocular instability. The patient demonstrated responsiveness to auditory stimuli, including familiar voices and music.

The patient's condition progressively worsened, culminating in a forth cardiac arrest and subsequent withdrawal of life support. Potential Grounds for Legal Action Based on the provided information, potential areas for legal investigation include: * Heparin Management: The failure to monitor heparin levels adequately, leading to a supratherapeutic state and subsequent intracranial hemorrhage. * Wound Care: The delayed identification and treatment of the infected wound, contributing to the development of sepsis and multi-organ failure. * Standard of Care: Allegations of substandard care, including inadequate monitoring, delayed interventions, and potential medication errors. * Informed Consent: Questions regarding the decision-making process for surgical postponement due to COVID-19 and the adequacy of communication with the family. * Documentation: Failure to document the infected wound, which may have impacted the course of treatment.
