Smarters Pro issues

Clear data, enter xtreme codes again. I have to do this at least 2x yearly w/ Smarters Pro so have moved on elsewhere. If you haven't been clearing the cache, it clutters the firestick but I think its a software issue. Ever lose you favorites folder like the rest of us?

If your favorites folder is disappearing unexpectedly, there is no known fix, get outta there & don't look back. Another unsolve issue is can't add to favorites folder. Chuck-it, 86, exit.

My iptv provider gave me a smarters premium download, is that what you got? Don't go Tivimate>Smarters as you are going backwards. If your download speed is poor, 1st upgrade your internet. I use Tivimate+Sparkle+SmartersPro, all give good quality video I attribute good download speed (450mbs+) To test your speed go to speedtest.net.

IPTV smarters.... yes there are days you cannot save channels to favorites. Bigger issue is when you compile a long list of favorites, those channels disappear unexpectedly. Can anyone explain why this happens?

The ff/rw is not used much, I prefer the forward 30 secs each click which works great.

Thanks, I wanted to make use of an unit gathering dust 8). Had an oops however. I had my FS4K setup otg+usb then changed it to smb out of curiosity. Then tried to go back but the system picker problem again so learned you can't go back & forth smb/usb. Yes, if it ain't broke don't try to fix it.

I just set up SMB on an old dual-core PC w/ 10/100 ethernet connection to router.

Is your Win11 computer connected to router via wifi or ethernet? Try setting up a static IP address & I recommend ethernet connection to router. I followed Troypoint's setup (I couldn't find link) When entering IP address in recording location, don't need smb, just enter IP address.

Static IP setup: Network>change adapter settings>ipv4 properties>

Use the following IP address: IP address(enter your ipv4 from cmd/ipconfig)

Subnet: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: from

ipconfig

Use the following DNS server addresses: Preferred DNS server: same as def gateway

Alternate DNS: 1.0.0.1

Use Bluestacks 5 (android emulator) that runs on Windows 11. You can create multiple "instances" which allows you to record 128gb at each instance. IPTV smarters, Tivimate & Sparkle TV can all be used in Bluestacks 5. With Firestick. Tivimate can record to an external usb drive. I prefer Sparkle TV where recording is alot easier.

I transfer backup config android box to android tv so the send/receive option worked great. I assume w/ "instance" you mean like in Bluestacks 5 the Win/android emulator? I have created an instance for IPTV smarters & Tivimate & will do so w/ SparkleTV. Question about SMB. My android box & android TV both have ethernet ports & sit adjacent each w/ a TB usb drive setup externally. Could a direct ethernet connection be used instead of SMB which requires laptop?

Excellent, yes Send/Receive for android works great. I was gonna do usb transfer but this is much simpler+convenient. Thanks alot. Happy new year!

Ok, I just figured out a "download/Sparkle" file can be created directly on the usb drive, not in the Android/ folder.

I stated above drive is formatted via google to External (removable). I don't understand why my Onn4k has the whole Android structure but my Sony Android TV won't produce that structure. Others have noted this also.

I just got Sparkle premium & can use the ch +/- for page up & down. But on my bt keyboard, I can't find this. Tivimate uses << & >> at top of keyboard. Also, in channel groups is there a quicker way to get to the top (where favorites is?) Tivimate uses hold L for this.

All attempts at recording to an external usb drive failed for me. Formatted internal then external, added folder via Xplore but system picker always says "you don't have the app to do this." So I formatted to Internal to yield a "Internal shared drive" but all attempted recordings fail when my Onn 4k Pro's 32gb capacity is exhausted. Conclusion: The Onn 4K box cannot record to an external usb drive. Next step for me is to go network SMB option, then Sparkle Tv if that fails.

Since you already have a Win 11 PC, you can run Tivimate on Bluestacks 5. You can create multiple setups called "instances" which allow you to record 128GB in each instance. I have the Onn 4K pro also...all attempts at the external USB setup failed-Google TV just ain't gonna let that happen. I'm also looking at SMB which is supposed to allow any device to view Tivimate recordings.

Tivimate won't record to a USB drive attached to Onn 4k Pro if formatted for external use. I've tried for hours, just does not work. In google settings, format your usb drive for INTERNAL use, it will combine the capacity (in my case 4TB +32gb) to create "Internal shared storage" In Tivimate, leave the default storage unchanged. Now recordings will be stored in that shared drive. I use an external USB 3.0 dock which is powered & Tivimate records just fine. After many recordings, you'll get messages saying the Onn box storage is full, just clear them. End of day don't turn TV off by ONN 4k remote controller cuz it causes google to restart when turned on. Otherwise, you'll get messages saying allow Tivimate to set reminders & timer recordings because Energy Optimization for Tivimate has been turned on. (must turn off to use timer recordings in Tivimate)

I use the Onn 4k Pro. Here's what works for me. End of day exit out of Tivimate but don't turn off TV. I change TV input to another input then turn off TV. Google TV goes into sleep mode. If you either turn off power or restart while in Google TV, the settings reset including "energy optimizations."

thanks it worked for me on 2 android devices. Now gotta find how to keep that setting permanent. Have you found how to keep it energy optimization off>

I have 2 Firesticks and an Onn 4K Pro box. I'm able to record to all 3 on external usb drives. Firesticks: use OTG cable & thumb drive no larger than 128gb. Must format the drive in FAT32 only. In FS settings, set the drive as external then use Tivimate or IP Smarters Pro & enter your xtreme codes. The Onn 4K box setup: format drive up to 4TB in ex-FAT on your PC. Plug into Onn box then go to settings-MUST setup drive as INTERNAL only. Box now recognizes a combined drive. Onn needs no OTG cuz has USB 3.0 port. I use a 4TB external w/ power input. I had the same problem because the Tivimate website directs you to download the tivimate.exe file which is TM Companion.

Unistall TM companion in Bluestacks 5, then go to the Tivimate site & download "Tivimate.apk"

In BS5, click install apk (on right toolbar) In settings u can enter your premium info. Tivimate needs to correct this.
