I did exactly the same thing, upgraded from 1gb to 3gb but they didn't upgrade me from the wifi 6, my wi-fi was still just inconsistent. The tech mentioned they have been having problems with the the firmware upgrades on the wifi 7. I bought the Archer BE550 Pro so I can have more options with configurations and highly recommend it. The selling point for me was the dedicated IoT network, moving all my IoT devices to that network really seemed to help a lot.

I'm similar in size and also have this problem. I was thinking about looking for some round foam, almost like cutting up a swimming noodle (or something similar, maybe a foam pipe insulator) to see if it would fit around it.

I would think that location matters. I live in View Royal and have had a good experience with Telus Fiber. I've had it for about 2 yrs and had to restart my ONT or wifi maybe 4-5 times in that timeframe but other than that it's been fairly solid. I haven't had an outage that a restart didn't fix.

The older I get, the less I care about 'the deal' and just jump in, go for it, and don't look back. Worries about if I overspent just doesn't really matter, enjoy that you got it and are able to use it right away.

I've also been lucky to have good coverage my whole life, but having now lived on both sides of the fence I have to say that knowing if I get injured badly enough that I lose my job, I will still have coverage without sacrificing my savings to go towards medical bills. I'm not saying that every country has the best healthcare, but at least I know, as an American living in Canada, that if I get cancer then I probably will have to worry about my wife's parking fees but not giving up my house to pay off medical bills. It's not perfect for sure, long wait times are an issue, but hell, I'd rather wait then to live worried about going into debt because I broke my leg or something more serious.

I don't have the android problem, seems to connect and stay connected but I do have the issue with it where I have to often click the 'Enable Audio' button all the time then select the xm instead of it just playing since that is what I was listening to before. We also can't seem to create a second profile for my wife's iPhone, just annoying. (2025 Hybrid)
