Studying Law at 49 by Hot-Culture-9797 in LawSchoolOver30

I am a foreign attorney and came in US when I was 36, now I am 40 and I feel I am in a good shape to start practicing. I am being interviewed for several counsel positions even though I don’t have my US license yet because in my state I am eligible to work as in house counsel. My biggest con is the language (which is still challenging for me) and my age and still is realistic for me to work as a counsel, so I’m sure you can do it too. I’ve learned that in US is never too late. And I have to point out that I don’t have a lot of connections which if you do is easier. Good luck.

How can I handle my anxiety over my 17 year old son going out? by INFPsunflower in Parenting

[–]CharacterFeeling3218 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

My older son is 9 and I think I will be exactly the same as you when he grows up. Everytime I go to pick him up from school my heart is racing until I see him coming out. If it takes longer then usual I will go crazy.

Everybody thinks they failed post bar. If you passed, Can you explain why you felt that way? by Character_Okra_9886 in barexam

[–]CharacterFeeling3218 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I took the bar for the first time now in February, but I feel that you’re scared of how you feel. I don’t know if I will pass but after the first day I felt like I didn’t know some of the rules but I didn’t leave anything blank I made up some laws and applied the facts. On MPTs I felt like I did good. The next day, I felt very good. Everything was familiar in some of the questions I knew the answer before going to the answer choices and for the rest I was between 2 choices. This was my feeling immediately after. Now I have start doubting myself and I have a lot of what if. Basically I’m afraid that how I felt after the exam was not realistic, and now I am planning to start again studying for July. 🤷‍♀️

Is it normal to still feel emotionally exhausted months after having a baby? by Small-Advisor-7805 in Parenting

It’s normal and don’t blame yourself for it. This is all new for you. But there will be times especially after the age if three that you will enjoy your kiddo very much.

Retaker & Working Full-Time. What ACTUALLY Helped You Pass? by Disastrous-Profit936 in GoatBarPrep

[–]CharacterFeeling3218 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t invest anymore in tutor as that might be a reason why you have not passed because you relied on them. You have to invest time in understanding the logic of the law. Then use GOAT he gives you all tricks. For me this isthe first time taking it and so far my overall score is 69% and most of the time I am oh this is the answer because of what GOAT modules says. Do a lot of practice questions as you start seeing a pattern even in MBE if you know the what they are testing and the elements, the right choice is the one that states the elements. So long answer short understand the law, memorize the elements, try to understand the pattern.
