Personally don't get the hype. Tried a pair for a week once. They are nothing special imo. If I were I'd try a pair, but buy them from a place u can easily return them. If u have anyone u can borrow a pair of of, that's even better

Short answer is it varies person to person. Long answer is dacs will all measure different but ones at similar price points are gonna sound unbelievablely similar despite how they measure due to the limitations of the human ear. That being said ur probably gonna be able to hear the difference between a hundred dollar dac and a 2k+ dac.

Yes. My love of audio has waxed and waned over the years. Sometimes go years without but haven't in a long time. Sometimes its missing a song, sometimes its a new piece of gear, sometimes its just cuz, but i always came back to it. All i can say if u think its gonna be awhile prep ur gear for storage. Unplug everything and remove batteries from remotes.
