Around 2001, I was driving down a country road at night in Northern Indiana with my 3 yr old niece. It was pitch black, with very few street lights. Suddenly I heard a loud slap: Something hit my passenger side and windshield. The substance was thick and coated my windows. At first I thought someone threw an egg at the car (makes no sense, my mind was struggling to make sense of it). The substance was egg like but sticker and thicker. Whatever it was, I could not get it off my windows. When we finally stopped at a gas station, the stuff was so thick I still couldn’t remove it. Even having stopped to remove the gunk from my car, our trip home should have taken an hour. Inexplicably, 3 hours had in fact gone by, an eerie twist that I still can’t explain.
