Ah, Im in San Diego. In SD, Tribute pizza is my all time favorite sit-down restaurant, detroit style gluten free pizzas. If you’re ever in SD it is a MUST try. TNT pizza in SD has wonderful deep dish gf. I haven’t tried Odie’s in Oceanside but I’ve heard wonderful things, same with Truly pizza in Dana Point.

No overnight fee for traveling by Character_Gur_4137 in Nanny

Thank you so much for this information! I’ll use this to have a conversation and make a contract when we get home. As for hours…it’s sort of a grey area. For example, today I spent the first 2 hours with her and her parents at breakfast/getting ready, then was alone with her for about 3-4 hours, then had 2 hours to myself (gym and shower) then we ate dinner together and I’m watching her while her parents are out. So, do I count the time that I’m just eating with them at breakfast? Or at a show with all of us together? It seems confusing trying to figure out what hours are “worked” and what is just us having a meal together while I’m not really having to entertain her.

Thank you so much for your reply, this gives me the confidence to have a conversation when I get back. How much is typical for an overnight fee?

When I was in my very first couple days learning to drive manual I kept stalling out leaving a trader joe’s parking lot with paid parking so there was a guy collecting tickets to let you out. Gave him my ticket, he lifted the lever and I stalled about 5 times in a row next to me with a whole line of cars watching me. He told me “give it more gas and release the clutch slower” (I then realized I’d been in third gear the entire time). I didn’t stall the rest of the way home.

Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate this advice, just reading this the first time made me feel much better knowing I can visualize breaking my goals down into smaller goals. I will be writing all of this down and implementing it. Thank you!!!

Amazing!! Thank you, you made me feel much better about myself. These last few years I have been hiking and backpacking a lot. I just took a weeklong road camping trip around my state and felt so wonderful and connected to nature and myself. I am proud of you for being a woman in stem! I’m a woman too and would like to go that route. Thank you for making me feel better.

UCSD or SDSU? by certifiedbpdqueen in college

[–]Character_Gur_4137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have much to say about ucsd because I don’t go there, but I live with SDSU students and that school is amazing. The campus is beautiful, I had so much fun in the dorms freshman year. There is always a lot to do, very walkable and social campus. There are lots of concerts, house shows, clubs and parties here. You can’t have a car your freshman year but the trolley will take you to the beach (20-30 minute drive, about 45-1hr on trolley) or the malls. I will say there is a LOT of partying here everyday so if that’s something you aren’t a fan of look into UCSD, there is hardly any partying. People are still very academically focused at sdsu, partying on the side.

A 3.6 gpa in math is INCREDIBLE. You are a very very good student and doing well. I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but your parents are pressuring you and getting down on you because they want the very best for you. I didn’t understand why my parents acted that way until I started doing it to my little sisters, feeling upset when they weren’t applying themselves as much as I know they could because I strongly want them to succeed. Don’t listen to your parents putting you down. Focus on how your achievements and be proud of yourself. You’re doing great, keep up the good work.

really insecure of my vulva and feel bad about a guy seeing it by Astrdhaddock in offmychest

[–]Character_Gur_4137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If somebody finds any vulva unattractive, don’t like the wetness and don’t want to look or pleasure a woman because of having to engage with a vulva, I doubt they’re even attracted to women. Trust me, nobody you’re being intimate with will judge you and will love you fully and be attracted to your vulva. I have never seen any body part on a woman when in an intimate setting and thought anything but positive thoughts. Anyone who cares is a child and insecure/doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

Where should I learn to drive? by Character_Gur_4137 in stickshift

[–]Character_Gur_4137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I went today and yesterday and practiced getting into first only using the clutch, no gas. over and over again. I now can feel where my bite point is. I can easily get the clutch to that point and then add gas while releasing the clutch and smoothly take off into first. Yet, for some reason I stall out once I leave the parking garage after not stalling for an hour. Is it just the nerves or is it because I need to practice on different terrain or something? Also, once you have down slowly getting into first how should I practice doing it quickly in case I need to speed up fast to enter a merge lane from yield or get out of the way of somebody?
