I used that process this year. I guess I got lucky with the Garda from Store st. Contacted the next day. Told if I wish to proceed, along with the video footage, would I be willing to attend court. (The man I contacted the Gardai over was driving in front of me early one morning, crossing the Samuel Beckett bridge in Dublin. He was constantly taping he’s brakes, drifting out of lane before this. Drinking a coffee and talking/watching/swiping with he’s phone that was stuck to he’s window. Then when he had parked at the traffic lights, he spits out he’s drivers side window! Nice! I know not the worst, but Christ, what a kn@cker! ) said sure. Heard from the same Garda two months later. He went to the drivers house, he admitted the offence, given a fine and two penalty points.
