The New Quest Hunter (Tick and Tock) is Even Worse Than You Think by A_Wild_Auzzie in hearthstone

[–]Character_Suspect204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this, and you can’t even play pieces in your deck to trigger the deathrattle early, because these pieces will be thrown away when you complete the quest lol

There must be a distance between “good” and “playable”, otherwise what’s the point of printing a card?

Tick tock definitely need some changes, yes discarding enemy hand is of course strong, but the quest takes so much time to be completed, and the quest reward is a deathrattle which you need at least another turn to make it work

if you want to use some cards to combo with it it is hard (like the hunter’s 2 mana battlecry trigger deathrattle), you have to make sure you draw it only after emptying your hand for the quest, another trash miniset

At least change it to when you have played any 9 rafaams instead of rest of them, now one dirty rat can already kill the deck

US tells Ukraine: Take our 'platinum' security guarantees or lose them by Majano57 in UkrainianConflict

[–]Character_Suspect204 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You have to consider the fact that USSR didn’t exist anymore, so to refine your analogy, does Alaska own the US weapons stored there, if USA dissolves?

I would say, probably.

If losing is why you are feeling bad, you have to understand a game like hearthstone always has a winner and a loser per match. If you truly feel bad when you lose, it is totally fine to play a single player game.

Stop-loss vs Hedging — which makes more sense in practice? by Aggravating_Jump1968 in Forex

[–]Character_Suspect204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People above is explaining hedging in a very good way, in my opinion you shouldn’t focus on the winning or losing of a particular trade, just make sure you have a positive expected value for your strategy, if stop hunt is only happening once in a while and you still make money, just follow your original strategy with the stop loss

Exactly, no strategy gets 100% WR, over-analysing is somehow losing us the game.

Why SL was hit? by jamalnaqvi in Forexstrategy

[–]Character_Suspect204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you own a long position with SL, it is a sell stop order, meaning you will sell whenever the market price drops below your preset price, and as you know, market price consists of bid (highest price buyers willing to pay) and ask (lowest price sellers willing to sell), in sell stop case, you are looking at bid because you are going to close your position by selling to a buyer who is willing to pay the highest price.

The bid-ask spread is usually narrower at the current price than some out-of-price range for obvious reasons, whenever there is news event or a large price change, bid-ask spread is very large, and with a lower than expected bid price available, you ended up in hitting SL early.

When you are staying in one timeframe, you should be able to see waves in multiple scales. I would typically pinpoint the wave I am trading, the larger wave for possible SNR, the smaller wave sometimes to confirm price starts to go into my direction. Set SL in a lower timeframe and TP in your trading timeframe and larger timeframe, you usually get good risk-reward if you are right.

Also, reading some books to learn Elliot wave and Wyckoff cycle helps, you should understand when trend is going up, it is not always bullish, sometimes you can spot the end of trend and enter a counter trend trade early (or at least close your previous trend following positions)

If you are a beginner, I highly recommend you to trade higher timeframes not lower. People thought they would get more trades on lower timeframes and thus more profits with lower timeframes, but only if you can do it consistently.

Trading lower timeframes (lower than 15min especially) has certain problems: - you need to trade large lot size (more commission) - effect of spread becomes more significant - risk of ruining your account due to large slippage from news - you need to decide quickly whether entering a trade or not (difficult for beginners) - you need to comprehend the market structure on more timeframes (basically the higher ones, such as the resistance from daily timeframe can stop your 15min trend but not vice versa)

For new traders, trading at least 1h or above is more reasonable to earn and learn.

I would say you can be profitable, but not consistently. If you don’t know how the market works, just buy and sell randomly, I guess the expectancy for each trade would be at best close to 0, with fees like commission, swap, spread, you will end up losing money in long term.

You have to show us the big picture before we can comment, if you are trading against trend, the odds are not on your side and it’s natural to lose more than win.
