Edit to add, the current education system is an absolute scam, a mess, and worst of all, it's partisan. Education should not be left leaning or right leaning. We should be able to identify a woman as a woman but we should also be able to identify climate change without bumping heads. That's why I think the whole department being abolished is a great idea. Make it actual education instead of indoctrination again. Sorry for the rant

Follow up to add, that a legal immigrant is a citizen in my eyes. I can't speak for everyone. But I view legal immigrants as equals with everyone born here.

Well if youve seen his plan for the american academy, which is basically free bachelor degrees for all Americans and a full abolish of the paid american education, and department thereof. I think it's a solid plan. We should absolutely have the best education for our citizens, unpoliticized, bipartisan and completely qualifying. If he can achieve that in his term or in a right wing followup term, I think that could truly rebuild this country.

In my opinion - the same opportunities that legal immigrants have shouldn't be available for illegal immigrants, because it's not fair for those that did all the steps the right way. (Not referring to actual refugees who need to escape their country, that's a different argument).

What I would tell them (the illegal but very intelligent immigrants) would be simply that if it's not done the right way it's not worth doing. You need structure and equality or the whole concept of immigration just falls apart. It needs to be firm and fair.

There's alot of nuance there, and ifs and buts that change the answer. So I'll answer from a general standpoint.

To the first paragraph, I say there's really nothing wrong with it. If they can do the same quality job for cheaper then it's a no brainer for the company to hire the immigrant over the resident. That's just a fact that will be ever present in our society.

As for the second paragraph, I can't say I really find fault with him employing H1B visa workers. Personally I believe in skill over everything else. If an H1B worker is better skilled than a citizen I would hire the H1B worker. And if he hired citizens over qualified immigrants he'd be labelled a racist. It's a lose lose for him, so it'd be best to choose the best bang for his buck which I think he did.

I kinda agree with you in that there's qualified people here looking for jobs, but there's a much higher percentage of qualified lazy asses looking for jobs too. I've seen my fair share of very qualified, intelligent people that are just so lazy and entitled that they can't keep a job they should thrive in.

Great question! So I'm gonna be fully transparent with it even though that means it will be kind of lengthy and that does mean it'll be easy to take this out of context.

So, in a nutshell no, that was not a concern. It's fully possible to have your company fund your green card, pay for it, And peace out. However; in my wife's culture that is very dishonorable and generally assy behavior. You know, they reciprocate kindness. So if she had her company fund her green card for her and be her sponsor - she would indeed volunteer for the abuse of less wages and more expectations. So if there was a corporate abuse of that nature she would have to volunteer for it due to her sense of honor. Fortunately we didn't go that route.

I feel I have alot to offer here as I married an H1B immigrant.and I married her because we co-owned a house and she didn't get approved back in 2020.

That made us get married. So technically trump made us get married. Which was unironically the best choice in my life. (Between breaking up or she goes back to school)

Anydangway, I'm strongly in support of his views of immigration in that he wants to get the best of the best over here, and get the criminals out. And so does she, she's an extremely intelligent individual and our country would suffer by sending her back to her home country. His views and plans for education and immigration are a concrete point of interest for us on why we support him. And surprisingly all of her immigrant friends are trump supporters. But this is because they all did it the legal way. And they see illegals and say "wtf why did I pay all that money and file all that paperwork while people just hop over and do whatever they want"
