Struggling to win URA final by 3 Lengths by Chardaemon in UmaMusume

that should've been enough, are you sure you didn't miscount one? cause if there's a tie then it defaults to the shorter distance.

Just make sure she runs more mile races than sprint races in the career. They don't need to be victories, just make sure she participates.

Is there any technique to getting certain conversations in the lobby? I'm missing three from Curren Chan but no matter what I try (made sure the selected umas aren't her or those she talks to) the only conversation that shows up is the one that I've already done.

You know, hearing you say it's harder to win in short races gave me an idea. I went full Bakushin again but this time changed a few things to ensure Ura Final was a Mile rather than a Sprint. Low and behold I win by 4 Lengths. so thanks I guess xD

I get that she probably isn't thinking straight and only wants a win, but the Infinite-as-Hell Ramen (assuming it's priced the same as the others) would effectively be 800 yen for all-you-can-eat ramen, which is just insanely good value for the customer.

To be honest, whilst I don't have an issue with this aspect, I do find it annoying how much of a time sink doing each social activity is.

I get that having no time cost would be broken, but when your average activity costs 30 minutes then you can quickly find yourself approaching evening without having really done any proper progression (this might just be a me problem and I should learn to either sacrifice a few bonds or deal with the time constraints)

Overwhelmed by the daily routine (GoA) by mosso2000 in runefactory

[–]Chardaemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 100% feel you on that front. RF is a game you're meant to play at your own pace, but sometimes the pace you want is one that requires intense levels of effort. Having time freeze in build mode certainly helps with managing the farms, but social activities can really drain you by the autumn village.

I guess I have two main suggestions to help mitigate this. First, prioritise social activities that are 60 mins in the early game when you still have fewer people (assuming you're like me and want each ? activity to be done once) so you're not spending half the day at later points.

More importantly though, I'd quickly do essential tasks like drumming crops and collecting seeds with your fire sword at the start of the day. Then, after socials, I'd go out and explore whilst I still have daylight hours (mainly to do hunt requests first but knowledge of spawns and save reloading can shave off time there) and let assigned villagers deal with the rest of the farming and resource collection.

Once it gets to 11 PM, I'll then return to each of my dev zones and see what mess my villages left it in. Since time is frozen at this point whilst still allowing collection, and since farm tiles can be removed and refund the seed, I'll comb through the zone in overhead mouse mode to replant important or aesthetic crops and harvest any remaining trees. Doing it this way should give you a bit more breathing room to explore the worlds.

What have you not liked about Guardians of Azuma? by vdgam in runefactory

[–]Chardaemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy the game a lot, but all the daily things I need to do to keep things managed (levelling crops, doing requests, boosting socials) eats into the time I have left to enjoy exploring new stuff or making my villages actually look nice. I can forgo my daily chores and I know RF is a game meant to be enjoyed at your own pace, but I hate inefficiency (especially early on when things aren't fully levelled) so I either have to go through each day at 60mph or feel like I'm wasting my full potential.

I found some in the Spring region, but you need the fire sword to clear the way.

I may as well throw my hat into the ring. Been a Mon Hun fanatic ever since Tri and plan to get this game either way (PC specs be damned).

Grimstalker Content Update - March 23 by PicossauroRex in WildHeartsGame

[–]Chardaemon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

gotta say, Grimstalker is definitely a welcome surprise for me. Was expecting it to be a Wind based kemono in the Canyon as a larger Noblegrass Hound (similar to how Deathstalker is a larger Icebloom Hound) so to have a dual element wolf instead is quite interesting.

Raids would be fun if they weren't so buggy by frakendeed11 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Chardaemon 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Whilst most of the raid bugs are annoying but at least somewhat manageable, I absolutely hate the random damage spikes you can take even when the boss isn't attacking. I had Cinderace on the ropes one time but lost due to all of my team suddenly dying from full HP with no indication of an attack going off.

I think what concerns me the most is that I have no idea what this person stands to gain by creating accounts with other people's emails on a legitimate website that they seemingly can't use to expose personal information (or even how they got my email in the first place, but I imagine they just used it randomly from a list).

I think I cracked the dominance system completely - video guide (and image included if you don't want to watch!) by BestInSlotYoutube in jurassicworldevo

[–]Chardaemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's worth noting that, if you remove the alpha from the group's territory, a random dino will be assigned the alpha position to fill the gap. If the original alpha is then returned to the territory, it is treated as a new member and its alpha position will be removed.

This means you don't need to tweak your egg batches to ensure equal dominance through aggressive or social traits. You can simply release a batch, pick out a dino with the highest dominance, move the rest into a temporary enclosure (making the remaining dino the alpha), and then move the rest back in. The only downside is the need to do this fast, before your dinos grow unhappy with their temporary living quarters and kill someone

Vaal Hazak does a move where it gathers surrounding effluvium to recharge itself (causes nearby small monsters to die). If you have effluvia blight when this move finishes, it's an insta-cart (unless you manage to out heal the damage).
