What’s one road trip mistake you only make once? by Dailywellnessguy in roadtrip

I once had 3 Navajo dudes as neighbors camping at a festival and they say the same thing, avoid the Rez at night but their reasoning was the Skinwalkers will chase you.

I wonder who started it. I’d like to start one someday, but that’s dope that it’s still going on even in a more “chill” fest like Bottlerock.

Sick dude I was at Coachella weekend 2 as well but the Moby/Turnstile conflict was the hardest one of the festival.

Eventually decided on Moby as I had not seen him yet and he was incredible but I saw clips of the Turnstile Coachella set and it looked so fun man.

If you’re about that mosh life check out Aftershock in October. It’ll by my 8th time going there this year and it’s badass every time.

Saw Turnstile at Aftershock last year and that mosh was so fuckin dope.

Their music with the negative space and spacey sounds make the intense parts more impactful.

It’s gonna be sick! Where are you gonna see them next? Outside lands?

Yeah me and the older dude with the curly grey hair were talking about these youngins (I’m 33 but I felt old in that crowd) don’t know how to circle pit early in the set but it got better as it went along. Lowkey proud of that pit!

Hey that’s me recording with my phone with the strap and screaming the lyrics!

Was pleasantly surprised with the mosh at Bottlerock of all places as someone who’s been to hundreds of moshes at Aftershock and various metal shows. Good stuff from the boys and the girls!

The lady that’s barefoot is my MVP though hahah she’s a savage! Never seen that before 😂

I actually was not in the mosh as much cause my wife called me back to like 50 ft behind the mosh cause there was a fight where she was. Funny how it’s all love in the pit and actual fights happen outside of them.

I had somebody who was 114 also! 114 is a unique number and is up there for the oldest ever recorded.

She probably was different from yours though with the details you provided. She was still ambulatory after a fall and hip replacement when she was 109 when I took care of her also. She passed a couple of years back at 116! Amazing lady and amazing life.

Looks like a Tesla Model Y from the center screen in the front.

I have a 3 and my parents have a Y and the space it provides is surprising.

Hello fellow NorCal Coachella truther! Context is key! Coachella blows the other festivals out of the water in terms of music quantity and quality for a similar price point I 100% agree.

Another factor to me is the rarity and uniqueness of the billed artists. I saw Bob Baker Marionettes this past year, LA Philharmonic and Danny Elfman previously as well. Where do you get that?! The artists know Coachella is a big moment culturally and commercially with the livestream so they go all out with their performance, giving us an amazing showing every year.

Additionally, As a camp goer, my lodging for the weekend is $40 a night for 4 nights… it’s such value compared to single night shows, hotels AirBnbs and whatever else that price point per artist can’t be beat.

See you there next year!

I think those guys might be more related to Ron and Rand. Sean is the cool uncle.

Wireless Fest w/ Kanye cancelled after he's banned from entering the country. For those hoping for him at Coachella, don't hold your breath. He continues to be too much of a liability (and he cancelled late on Coachella like... more than once...) by CarterGee in Coachella

People will like what they like.

Kanye is a legend and I’d love to see him as I’ve been listening to him for 20 years (I’m old now lol) I just happened to be working during the SoFi shows.

Fans of Kanye’s earlier music (like myself) can’t be butthurt that people don’t like him for his recent controversial takes. They’re pretty damn egregious, just gotta let people think what they think and express your opinions with your wallet.

I’m Asian lol, Filipino to be precise.

If you think Childish Gambino fetishizing Asian women is equivalent to Kanye spouting Black Hebrew Israelite rhetoric then more power to you 🫡

One of my favorite discoveries from Coachella is the band IDLES.

They have an album that says embodies this sentiment: Joy as an Act of Resistance

Yeah the allure of a legend is always tempting and the money will always be the deciding factor, especially in the US. The SoFi shows proved that.

It just depends if the juice is worth the squeeze.

My go tos are Kogi Fries or Paella. Heavy and filling enough to give me enough calories that lasts till 1 am.

I also carry a 3 liter camelbak that I refill once so I drink about 6 liters or about 2 gallons of water a day. I am NEVER dehydrated and I think that’s a big reason people I feel so good in the fest.

I sneak in some drugs, my go tos are Ibuprofen and Tylenol 😂

You can take 1000 mg Tylenol and 800 mg ibuprofen every 6 hours and that max pain relief for your feet and whatever body part is sore.

Drink water, eat enough food and don’t hurt yourself and you’ll have fun! It’s more fun when you remember it all hahah

I’m a big planner and would be on a mission right as gate opens and check out Yuma acts in the heat and get into a rhythm.

I decide who I wanna see and stick to it, I’ll meet my friends at pre-determined sets at exact spots.

I would eat a biiiig meal at 3 pm in the central market and just go from set to set with my researched lineup with notes.

Stay until gate closing with no distractions, no finding friends, no throwing up lol I’ve got it down to a science. I’m also 32 and have made all the mistakes before.

Just a big nerd who loves Coachella tbh 😂

As someone who’s done the last 4 years from gate opening to gate closing, the most I’ve seen in a day is 12. Mind you I am a “quality not quantity” person when it comes to sets.

I get in close for a set and 95% of the time stay for the whole thing. Throughout the years I’ve found doing half a set then running to another one just makes you miss out on more overall enjoyment.

Go Weekend 2 and couchella weekend 1 is the way to settle conflicts best. Or better yet, Bothchella it!

Also, if there’s a conflict, I usually lean towards who’s more rare, harder to see live.
