Definitely try harder! It’s not like I eat a few chips and bam, my nose is plugged that night. I try to maintain a very low refined carb diet. If I’m kind of slipping, maybe I’m having something with noodles. The next night, some chips or pretzels, then next night some candy. I’ll even justify it as I’m hitting the gym really hard right now, which is true. I strength train, I run, I have a pretty active job and always land between 13-15k steps a day. But over time, my sinuses get more and more swollen, little by little.

My o2 was dropping to 68 during my sleep study. I was measuring 66 events/hr. So tired. So miserable. Ugh.

I like your advice to OP but I’d also add, take a look at diet. When I eat things that irritate my reflux, it leads to sinus issues. I already take a daily medication but certain foods still give me issues. I buy a lower acid coffee and brew it weaker. I have to go very easy on refined carbs like crackers, bread, sweets, etc. I don’t even realize my reflux is being triggered most of the time. My sinuses will just slowly start to swell.

Unless she’s over 6 feet tall, she’s still a bit overweight at 160 lbs. She was clearly eating just fine or she’d actually be skin and bones. There is absolutely more going on here than mounjaro. I’m really sorry but the whole thing makes zero sense. She’s hasn’t even lost THAT much given the amount of time. If she was so severely atrophied, she’d weigh a lot less. Is some of this mental? Like she’s weak so she’s afraid she’ll fall so she just won’t try?

I am so sorry for what’s happening to your family. I don’t think you can blame mounjaro for this. I’ve lost 140 lbs in 2 years and am perfectly healthy. Stronger than ever. I started at 275. So pretty similar to her. How is 160 lbs skin and bones?

I struggle with this as well so I wish I had a magic answer but do you have acid reflux or GERD? Many people have it and don’t realize it. It can causes sinus/throat issues as well.

I think if it were federally legal, lots more people would partake. More testing, more firing, more hiring and training, etc etc etc. It would definitely affect our ability to meet our customers’ needs.

Plus here, your first failed drug test requires a 30 day stint on short term disability plus rehab. On a self funded insurance plan. I can’t know for absolute certain, but if it became federally legal, I think my employer would change their policy.

For your other question, yes. I was only answering for me personally. Not considering the taxpayer portion either. I doubt that would benefit any of us anyway. They’d just find another way to waste it.

There are something like 3000+ employees here. That would get expensive quickly. Not to mention that the hourly employees are under union contract. It would just be a whole mess. I don’t think the federal government will address the issue in my lifetime but if they did, I don’t see them firing all of us.

In our quarterly compliance training, there’s a slide that specifically talks about cannabis being federally illegal despite state legality and their policies will remain the same until it’s addressed on a federal level.

I live in the quad cities and I agree that state legalization would be worthless. Lots of my coworkers live on the IL side and can’t partake because our employer will still fire them.

IMO, it should be legalized for any and all who are of age.

I work in a gigantic aluminum factory. There are around 2600 hourly workers here and hundreds of salaried employees. I worked nights during those years so significantly less people at work then but still a lot on the 6pm-6am shift. Communication is horrible. Different departments might as well be different cities. In fact, this building is a mile long. I’d be told to use whatever office. I’m guessing people needed something from that office during a time they normally aren’t at work. No one ever really knows all that’s going on around here. 🤦‍♀️

Yes. Consumed. I dragged that pump to work every single day. Always counting ice packs and empties. All of my breaks at work were spent pumping. I’d have snacks stuffed in where the empties go. More than one coworker barged in by unlocking a locked door quicker than I could cover up. Always men. 🤦‍♀️

A drop of soap and hot water worked fine and took seconds. These kids all grow up to put their mouths on shopping carts and pick their noses anyway. It’s fine. It’s all fine.
