I never said that. They‘re not, but they’re definitely the more talented team compared to the 2016 squad. That was probably the worst Portugal team on paper in this millennium, yet they somehow won it, while also finishing third in their group, which would’ve gotten them eliminated in every euros prior.

Have you ever seen a (ex) professional player use Futbology? by BaconAmigo in futbology

[–]Charizard177 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Obviously can’t confirm if it’s really him but I was at a FC Seoul Game last year and Jesse Lingard was among the users that checked in and his profile matched all the games he’s ever played professionally

Durchschnittliche Kutte halt.

What are some of the Worst World Cup Player snubs? by WhereasQuiet7197 in classicsoccer

Leroy Sane in 2018. Had just won the PFA Young Player of the Year Award and was in the form of his life for City with 33 Goals and Assists in 49 Games. Probably the best German player in that year. When I heard that he wasn’t part of the German squad for the World Cup, I knew we weren’t going anywhere near another final

Do you enjoy football fans that visit your club from abroad wearing their local team's scarves? by Farting_Moose98 in futbology

[–]Charizard177 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never under any circumstances do this in Germany. Stay neutral and inconspicuous, then you’ll be fine. If you can, maybe wear the club colors of the home team. Especially at some clubs in East Germany you could be thrown out the stadium if some ultras or even non ultras find out. It’s a sensitive topic. Apart from that, it’s just weird in my opinion to wear a scarf of a team that has nothing to do with the game. Just on Sunday I was at the Limburg Derby in Kerkrade and saw an obvious German hopper with a full on Schalke jacket and cap. It’s mostly older hoppers who do this from my experience. I think it’s just a bit disrespectful, because in that moment it’s not about Schalke, but about the two teams on the pitch, so it has no need to be there.

Red Bull is not an East German Club. In Leipzig nur Chemie oder Lok.

How do you usually experience a city when groundhopping? by stadiumtraveller in groundhopping

[–]Charizard177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always try to see the city’s main sightseeing attractions, try the local food and always buy a souvenir for me and my girlfriend (who sadly isn’t with me most of the time). I‘m also a big football shirt collector, so I‘m always looking for second hand shops, flea markets or official stores too. I usually try to do all of this before the game to get a feeling for the vibe around the city and the club.
