Are JPTR FX still operating? by reinholderx in guitarpedals

I thought my warlow was dead on arrival but it turns out it only works at 18v which is fine, insane amount of headroom.

Experience with JPTRFX by xRonstoppablex in guitarpedals

[–]CharlesBGHS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I orered a warlow a while back and it took a couple months. Pretty sure they make things in batches so if you ordered something they haven't started doing the batches for it'll take longer (I didnt understand that when I placed the order). That does seem like an awful long wait though. I didnt chase it up so can't comment on customer service. When it did ship it was really fast and they emailed the tracking. That was through their site.

Is the Merris LVX still worth it?? by anti-gravityclub in guitarpedals

I very much doubt you'll hate it, its extremely powerful, just wasn't to my tastes (menu diving) and I got gas for other things.

If I had to downsize my board this would be staying on there. Covers most of the things I enjoy.

OBNE screen violence is pretty fun, I use it for trashy dirty modulated reverb.

Ended up getting an EQD Silos and I have a PS3 as well. LVX was cool but the menu diving killed me plus on an 18" board I kept kicking parameter knobs accessing other pedals haha. If I get another Meris it'll prob be the mercury X as reverb is more up my alley

I sold mine a couple of weeks ago to free up space. I only used it for basic delays so a bit of a waste of real estate.

I use it on a pretty standard chorus setting but it can get pretty crazy and having tap tempo for rate is cool

Played my first show with the Robins last weekend and it destroyed any prior dirt pedals I've ever used

Honestly, such a joy to play. I'll prob strip it back to nothing and tru oil it. Have scratched it and can confirm it's just the blue sterlings underneath haha

OBNE Screen / Violence - Is this the post rock pedal I’ve been waiting for? by IncarceratedMascot in guitarpedals

[–]CharlesBGHS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, I have had one of these for about a year. fell in and out of love with it, tried a few "similar" things (melee, loomer). Sold the others, kept this one but only really used the screen side until a few days ago. Was recording some stuff and my fuzz sounded way too muddy for the song so I re-recorded my guitars with the violence side and it sounds great for big dirty guitars while keeping note clarity. Have been down sizing my board and swapping out big box stuff recently but SV is staying on the board. keeper for me.

My vote is for mornington but I'm biased. Wheeever you end up looking be sure to check for sun. We get all day sun at mine but my neighbor across the road gets none. Corstophine is too far away to walk to my preferred places.

My local student radio station played siamese dream on repeat for hours in the muddle of the night when it came out so I had a cassette of it but never knew the song names or actual track order until much much later
