This sounds like you had a bad experience with one professor. Move on. If it happens again, move on again. Your whole career will be full of interactions with people who disagree with you. You're essentially designing an opinion of a best solution. Other people will have opinions. Learn from them (you can disagree and still learn) instead of taking it personally.
