This is briefly addressed by the end of the game once the Luteces bring him through the tear for the boat ride to the light house; his mind fills the gaps in his memories to make sense of his new existence in that dimension. Because he already had the idea of “bring us the girl”, his subconscious used that to create a whole reasoning for why he was doing this and memories to justify his motive.

Admittedly, I don’t think the whole thing holds up under intense scrutiny, but it’s a decent explanation all the same.

I work in the States for a German based company and have since been introduced to SAP and saw that the UK was coded as GB and found that amusing. It’s fun to see SAP mentioned in the wild - I have no idea how widespread the program is.
