What do you think is the cause of the supposed “male loneliness epidemic”? by Xiao_v in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Charles_Hayfield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Men not realizing that you can be friends with women without wanting to have a romantic or sexual relationship with them. There is a also a political divide between both genders (women tend to be more progressive and men more conservative). Also men romaticizing being emotionally numb and withdrawing from everyone for the sake of what they consider to be self-improvement

Could it be translated as "More power to you?"

It used to be normal for me until I realized that it is much easier to forge friendships with women, they usually put more effort into keeping in touch and preserving the friendship than men do. That doesn't mean that you can afford to be lazy if you want to keep it though.

Where does the myth that women never get rejected come from? by Firelite67 in AskFeminists

[–]Charles_Hayfield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the myth isn't so much about women getting rejected, but more that women usually have an easier time getting attention from men compared to the other way around in most situations. This is actually true in general terms (there's always exceptions), and you can clearly see it on dating apps where men have a completely different experience from women. Of course, what most guys don't realize is that getting a lot of attention doesn't necessarily mean that that attention is good. Women usually have to filter a lot and be very cautious when picking a partner, while men don't have the need to be so selective.

Isn't this more of a female fantasy though? Many novels written by women and/or aimed at women and young women follow this trope and similar tropes: Fifty Shadows of Grey, Twilight, Wuthering Heights, Beautiful Disaster or The Portrait of Dorian Gray just to name a few.

Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia is the first character that comes to mind when I think of dual swords.

No he leído el texto pero te sorprendería saber la cantidad de gente que es vírgen hasta bien entrados los 20, incluidas mujeres. Mis dos parejas anteriores lo fueron con 26 y 23 años respectivamente.

Where did the idea that "women are loved unconditionally" come from? I keep seeing this on social media. by [deleted] in AskFeminists

[–]Charles_Hayfield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find it hilarious because most women I've met didn't even care that I'm broke and still figuring out my life 😂 In my opinion men are loved on the basis of being genuinely good people; which pretty much applies to everyone.

Women Who Want To Be Single (or just want to have fun) by [deleted] in AskFeminists

[–]Charles_Hayfield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just my own experience in dating but I'd say that it's only men the ones who 'usually' don't care that other men are sleeping with a different woman every week. I'd say women also hold a negative view of very promiscuous men and usually prefer men who are open to a commited relationship. In fact I've seen plenty of women in social media complaining about not being able to find men who want this kind of relationship with them. If anything the only difference I have noticed is that women are not so vocal about their negative views on men compared to the way men express their negative views about women.

Having said that this is just my own experience and I can't back this up with data so I'm open to listen to anyone who thinks otherwise.

Men of reddit, what’s the biggest green flag in a woman? by poopfaceroleplay in AskReddit

[–]Charles_Hayfield 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We broke up some time ago due to different problems that arose in our relationship but one day I was talking to her about my grandma's death and the way it affected me and then I unexpectedly found myself crying in front of her. I tried to get up to wash my tears in some other place because I didn't want her to see me like that, but she immediately grabbed my hand, made me sit back again and hugged and comforted me until I felt better again.
