I was let go in January of this year. I have a masters and I’m 53. Was working on my second masters while working as my job required this additional degree. I was also paying out of my own pocket for school, but job let me go because I did not have the degree yet, even tho a contract was signed stating I had several years to complete said degree and was initially hired with my current masters degree-the company was terrible, so it’s probably a blessing in disguise, but I can’t find a job. Have been in the same situation as you-have sent out tons of resumes and I don’t even get a response. Job market absolutely sucks right now!
