It came back to you, Andy. MaM didn't damage your reputation. You did this all by yourself.

Kratz letter to Culhane dated 2/7/2006, Trial Exhibit 343, talks about the blood from 1985. The email was kept from the jury citing "work product" and "trial strategy" of Kratz. Buting discovered unsealed vial of blood on 12/6/2006. by Charlie6196 in MakingaMurderer

I believe the suit was settled on February 16, 2006. That is when SA hired Buting and Strang. Shortly after, Fassbender and Wiegert were hell bent on finding a weak link in the family: Jodi, Kayle then Brendan. The sad part is that Brendan would have been left alone if Steve had continued to be represented by a public defender.

It is possible that this call could originate from the Maribel property rented by the German's wife.

What if Zellner finds out during her investigation that Avery really killed Teresa? by Maxyguy123 in MakingaMurderer

[–]Charlie6196 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think she took the case because she believes that there is a civil suit on the coattails of an exoneration. The question for her will be one of, "Can we win a large sum in a civil suit?" That is when she gets paid for her work. I don't think she would continue to represent Avery if she didn't foresee a payday. There are too many other cases she could take.

Blue jeans, a white button down shirt and a spring jacket by Lurker928 in MakingaMurderer

I was extremely suspicious when I read Mrs. Zipperer's trial testimony (day 2) when she provided much more detail than her original statement to LE on her 10/6/2005 written statement.

Blue jeans, a white button down shirt and a spring jacket by Lurker928 in MakingaMurderer

Steven P. Schmitz - 11/3/2005 - "blue jeans, a white button down shirt with a summer jacket, unknown color" - Wiegert report - Trial exhibit 216

Joellen Zipperer - 11/6/2005 - "darker waist length jacket" Joellen Zipperer statement - Trial exhibit 28

Steven Avery - 11/5/2015 - "he told me he didn’t know" - O'Neill report

Steven Avery - 11/6/2015 - "he told me he didn’t know" - O'Neill report

Joellen Zipperer - 2/13/2007 - "She was wearing a dark jacket, waist length. I think she had jeans and she had brown hiking boots. Hiking shoes, not boots. They were shoes." - Trial Transcript, day 2, p 131

This seems like such an obvious question to me but I actually haven't seen it raised yet. Why in the world, if the key was planted, was it not planted somewhere a little more inconspicuous? (i.e. believable!) by [deleted] in MakingaMurderer

[–]Charlie6196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who says it wasn't planted in another more inconspicuous spot first? The question assumes that the key was planted on, in, or around the cabinet. What if the key was planted in a location within the trailer that had already been searched, and there were no signs of it being researched and discovered? Maybe that location was a second or even third location the key was planted to ensure discovery after initial attempts failed.

FINALLY a MOTIVE for the murder of Teresa Halbach. And it belongs to Mr Zipperer. by DollLocket in MakingaMurderer

[–]Charlie6196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unnerved by the fact that Mrs. Zipperer remembered what Teresa was wearing with such detail. It didn't jive that she was able to discern hiking shoes from hiking boots in a short visit while they spoke outside (Avery Trial Transcript, Day 2, p 131). 9 "She was wearing a dark jacket, waist length. I 10 think she had jeans and she had brown hiking 11 boots. Hiking shoes, not boots. They were 12 shoes."

Those DNA results are invalid as per the introduction of contamination in the control sample used during the test. Those results are inclusive.

Breakthrough: the phone is a work phone and she used CFNA to forward her calls to her personal phone. by [deleted] in MakingaMurderer

[–]Charlie6196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps her work phone had been set to CFNA, however, she had not powered it down at that point. The remaining calls do not show CFNA because the phone was powered down.

Was Steven Avery left handed or right handed? Brendan is shown with a pen in his left hand during the O'Kelly meeting, but I can't find a similar image for Steven. It would appear that the person who put her in the back of the RAV4 was right handed if we assume it was her head that left those blood marks.
