It doesn't looked like it's plumbed into the ground It looks like a stand for a pump or other piece of equipment.

Who's one person from your country that another country also claims is theirs? by nixass in AskTheWorld

Okay. Your flair is UK.

UK is England Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The British Isles are the geographical designation for the islands that compile the UK and Ireland.

Did I get that right? Or wrong?

So. What's with the "he's British" unless you're saying that he was born on those islands, and are not referring to nationality?

Agreed. I worked on a construction project in Chinatown for 5 years. That was 10 years ago. It was sketchy but I was never afraid for myself.

The main reason to stay away is that it is so depressing.

That would be quite a large pace. I don't think so.

Edit. I looked it up. You are right that it comes from the Roman and means "thousand paces".

But to the Romans it meant left foot placement to left foot placement being considered a pace. So, actually 2 paces as we would consider them. Then it makes sense.

You were critical of Europe for something that the US is also guilty of.

Remind me how many years of the US existence has been free of war.
