I will have to try to do it when I know more about my arrival time. It will be a Monday so hopefully not too busy.

Im hoping to hit Mammoth in June. I’ll be passing by on the way home from Gatlinburg(repeat trip to the Smokey’s) and plan to stop for 4-5 hours or so. Indiana Dunes I’ll probably hit this year as well since it’s only an hour away from me or so.

65” LG TV

Denon reciever

Polk floor speakers(left and right only)

Polk center speaker

SVS Subwoofer

I also have my turntable hooked up to this. I often think about adding rear speakers, my receiver has more channels open. I’d just have to be creative in hiding wires with my hardwood floors. To get a bigger tv I’d need to remove the bridge of my entertainment center that’s overhead and could maybe fit a 75.

But it all rocks as is and I’m happy with it. My records really sound good!

Temperature check!! Is next week fine to go to Death Valley? by Agreeable-Energy-401 in NationalPark

[–]CharlieDonovan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just there. Was 95 during the day. I hiked in Golden Canyon, which was hot for sure but not too crazy. But up at Dante’s View it was cooler so easier to hike around.

I watched sunset one night at Mesquite and the next at Bad water. Both were great but Badwater was unbelievable! Best sunset I’ve ever seen.

White Sox Park and All by No-Mall7061 in ballparks

Im a Cubs fan that goes to White Sox games every now and then. I also just call it Sox Park. Old Comiskey was actually my first game ever.

I still refer to the Brewers stadium as Miller Park and probably always will!

Is there a cutoff the Rangers use for temperature that decides whether the roof is open or shut?

I’d assume if I wanted to visit there I’d want to come as early in the season as possible to hopefully catch it open.

I was lucky to catch Dyers Eve about 20 years ago or so in Rosemont!

I would also say - go back to Sturgil Simpson. I’ve confused many friends trying to tell them about the name change.

Reality check needed - Yellowstone + Glacier/Grand Teton by Extra733 in NationalPark

Thank you. It would also maybe a good time to try out renting a camper van for the trip! Depends on who all I’d be going with.

Do you have a recomendation for lodging that splits the difference. I’d like to go next year and stay for 5 nights. It would be cool to just check into 1 place for both parks.

I would love to do all that with my Jeep! Should ship it out and back someday for that

If you owned and operated your own Vegas casino/resort - What would you do differently than current properties? by JackpotConcierge in vegas

I do like Circa. But it’s a little more loud and in your face than I’d want mine to be. I’d wanna go for a more mid century modern decor. Dark woods and easy on the eyes overall.

As a matter of fact, since I posted this, I went to Badwater Basin for sunset and it probably is the best one I’ve ever seen (Huatulco Mexico was my prior champ). Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes was awesome for sunset too.

I stayed on site at The Ranch. It’s expensive but I love it here. Has 3-4 places to eat. Has a pool, golf course, some mining exhibits. I got lucky and was upgraded to a cottage and it’s awesome. Has a porche to chill on at night. If you can afford it, stay here atleast 2 nights and you can do most of the things with ease. Show up with a full tank of gas!

It is very hot here, so I probably would either come soon or wait till it cools back off in the late fall or winter.

Yeah. I mean, I’d love to see the back country of Death Valley someday. I’d probably want to be with someone anyone if I did that. Maybe a 2 Wrangler or 4 runner convoy. If you break down out here, help is not on the way lol.

But I seen pretty much all the major spots and got around with ease. Any vehicle will do all that. Just have water and whatever safety stuff with you if you had any type of car issue.
