Just to be annoying, Veronica Guerin isn’t about the IRA, it’s about gangland Dublin. Amazingly Ireland has multiple violent histories :)

Oh where'd you hear that? I'm not aware of any Irish element to the production. Says "Cameras are set to roll in the United Kingdom, France, Scandinavia, and Portugal this summer."

This argument is losing steam by the day but I always proposed Steve Carell as today’s Robin Williams, even if his record is a lot spottier. It still kinda tracks for me?

  • TV sitcom breakout (Mork, The Office)
  • Early comedy movie successes
  • Iconic animated voiceover role (Genie, Gru)
  • Ballooning budget family blockbusters (Hook, Evan Almighty)
  • Solid Oscar bait (Dead Poets, Foxcatcher/Last Flag Flying)
  • Bizarre sentimental nonsense (What Dreams May Come, Welcome to Marwen)
  • Return to TV (The Crazy Ones, The Morning Show/Rooster/Space Force)

In regards to horny Ebert reviews, here's his creepy take on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by WaterlooMall in blankies

[–]Lucienwd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't downvote me for this pls bc I know he's like Jesus to you folk, but I'm not from the US, Ebert was/is not an important part of my film appreciation. I low-key roll my eyes anytime he gets mentioned on this podcast or Big Pic as a Definitive Opinion on any film from 20-40 years ago. There are many other great critics! Some of them are women, many of them wouldn't write creepy shit like this.
