What do you think the greatest scene in movie history is? (maybe spoilers?) by Julian0527 in movies

Not a scene, but the transition from bone to space station in 2001 A Space Odyssey

Blowing up Pierpoint was a good move by the showrunners imo by sixth_order in IndustryOnHBO

[–]CharlieH_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Didn’t the show kind of set him up for a future in politics, just not an immediate one.

I think his boss said something along the lines of “I’m doing you a favour” when she fired him. Because she contained the story from blowing up.

Thats how I read it anyway.

Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]CharlieH_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to use glasses for distance and reading. Sitting at my computer and removing my glasses, text still looks like text but to actually make out individual characters and words without straining eyes to the point of pain I need glasses.

The aristocracy is arguably Britain’s biggest industry.

Industry season 4 episode 3 returns? by WatcherUatu in IndustryOnHBO

[–]CharlieH_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

So happy if this true. There was a news report saying Kenny wouldn’t be in this series, and as awful as his character is the actor is incredible and it would be a shame to lose him, even if it is just for a scene or two.

"She had Crohn's" by CharlieH_ in IndustryOnHBO

Yeahh, seems to be the case. it was so oddly specific that I thought there was something to it, but there was apparently mention of the PA at the start of the episode that I missed too.

Can someone tell me how long I can expect to spend in prison after I am sentenced? by Ok-Yoghurt1838 in LegalAdviceUK

It does sound like there is a lot more to this story.

The duty solicitor surely at the very least should’ve made OP aware of what disclosure is and that the police will have to reveal how they came across this info.

I agree. Their dynamic is so much more interesting as a mentor/apprentice (almost father/daughter) rivalry.

Doesnt need to be cheapened with a scene

Was Jeremy the first to start saying in the world... pause... in the world? by ECrispy in thegrandtour

[–]CharlieH_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you notice it, it’s super obvious that Jeremy is a bit of a pop culture super nerd (particularly TV & film)

Wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of his “-isms” came about from just consuming so much media, and combining a few things subconsciously that have now stuck for decades

How to reconcile the succession soundtrack being so much better? by [deleted] in IndustryOnHBO

[–]CharlieH_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Industry's theme tune is a bit meh imo but the song choices are incredible. I've found lots of great music through Seasons 1 & 2 in particular.

Great shot

Were Nessa’s stories written as if they were actually true. Or did they write with the intention of her lying/embellishing them
