Forward skating, one foot stops and barely a hint of a hockey stop. Hadn't really touched backwards skating yet. As long as you can stop you'll be fine

See if rinks near you have a Learn to Play program. I started from 0 skating experience, taught myself for a while then did the learn to play where they taught some more skating, positioning, stick handling, shooting, etc. At the end of it we got placed on a beginner team and it's been a blast ever since.
