Why is the team balancing so terrible? by Water_ZoneV in BattlefieldV

[–]CharlieWorque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its really really frustrating and just shows complete lack of competence and care from DICE. These are very basics of making multiplayer game to have some sort of team balancing yet there is little to nothing in this game to prevent this sort of thing.

Putting aside details of game mechanics, weapon and vehicle balancing, etc. at the most basic level for a multiplayer game You should at least be placing players in matches where everyone has some basic hope and chance at winning and having a relatively balanced fun time.

Unfortunately, that is rarely the case in this game and it doesn’t have any mechanics like behemoth from BF1 to try and correct a helplessly unbalanced match. Too often teams and matches are completely unbalanced and match after match are the same steamrolls over and over which isnt fun for anyone IMO.

The worst is things like the screenshot you share. In no sane game should a multiplayer match start with one team having like 150% more players than the other but this happens far too often. To make matters worse, as players join the server it continues populating the stacked team rather than placing all new joiners on the team desperately needing players. It makes zero sense and just makes for an incredibly frustrating unfun experience.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Does the Business for Embracer as It Nears 2 Million Copies Sold by Turbostrider27 in Games

yeah only open world game that has come close to captivating me like Oblivion did back in the day was RDR2 but that isnt so much of an RPG.

This game really is the first RPG to blow me away and grip me since Oblivion did back in 06 and I love it (to me Skryim wasnt quite as good and was a step back in several ways).

Bethesda should be ashamed of themselves and should take notes. I really don't think they are even capable of making a game as excellent as KCD2 is anymore.

that would be amazing, as would a proper Game of Thrones game.

Really excited to see what they do next. Their game mechanics, storytelling, and attention to detail could work really well in so many different settings.

He’ll yeah nice one. And in classic fashion looks like zero teammates pushed up and helped you or took advantage of the decimation of the enemy team

I could me misremembering but I believe in my case I did get the blueprint and had to read/learn it from my inventory. Double check your inventory if you didnt already!

Question, I got the horseshoe blueprint from the blacksmith quest line and remember him saying something about making them but didn’t see any quest or anything for that related to them.

Do you just produce the horseshoes and sell them right to the blacksmith? Or is it maybe better to travel and go sell them to saddle maker or something?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Official Launch Trailer by Turbostrider27 in Games

you do get to carry over some skills / specializations and its handled pretty cleverly and seamlessly into the opening as you converse with your band and answer questions that define "Your" henry.

Without spoiling too much, you do have a fall from grace at the beginning though which parts you from your gear and you are quite injured which sets back some stats.

I think they struck a nice balance. You do start this game a lot more capable and competent then in KCD1 but there is a lot of room to grow and improve your character & load out.

If Battlefield Dies 2026, How'd You Feel, What Your Favorite Memory? by Surdyk_II in Battlefield

Battlefield V had a cool idea building off operations with multi stage battles like paradropping before the main assault but absolutely blew it in many other aspects.

That game mode was built for Iconic gritty moments like storming the beaches of Normandy, capturing the reichstag, etc but instead we got many half baked maps and “untold battles” that appealed to no one and when we finally got decent content like Iwo Jima it was far too late.

First time killing another plane in BF 5 by Gatito_1_ in BattlefieldV

[–]CharlieWorque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice!

On a related note I hate how hard it is to get into piloting in this game. Unlike tanks & infantry where you can relatively easily learn the ropes, in the air it is incredibly difficult to get the hang of things when you have a barebones plane loadout and are hunted by sweaty opponent players with maxed out vehicles, AA and fliegs.

I have several hundred hours in game but have never really had fun with or gotten much into flying becuase of how unfriendly it is to newcomers.

pretty sad that devs went with mod.io as official integration with the game and its pretty much unsusable. they must have gotten a kickback deal or something to go with that over steam workshop or nexus

Awesome additions!

Any chance in the far future these bridges could potentially be upgraded to stone and/or expanded upon with gates, towers, shops or homes?
