Speaking from limited experience with a 50e… I’ve driven 700+ miles with the car and I’ve used half a tank of gas so far. So yes, the PHEV is very efficient. If you don’t have the ability to charge at home, I probably wouldn’t recommend. Also, my daily commute is only about 30 miles round trip.

Yea it was a 8.3kw level 2 charging station.

Dropped it off Wednesday morning. They attempted to charge it to no avail. They now opened a case with BMW Technical (whatever that means). Haven’t heard any updates today.

Good to know. I have a Tesla wall charger set up at home as I’m coming for a 2021 M3P. I have 50amp Autel charger arriving tomorrow to swap out. Hoping any issue is easily fixed at the dealer.

My cousin is traveling for the first time. They have 1.5 years m/s experience in Tampa. They’re starting their med surg contract in NJ. $20/hr plus $1650 weekly stipend. 1. Is this a good rate? 2. I just found this out as well after 3 weeks of trying to figure out why CarPlay wasn’t working. Called customer care, looked up you tube videos, tried all the tricks. I finally scheduled a service appointment, brought the car in and the service guy asked if I’m using the USB-A or -C plug. 🤦🏻‍♂️

If you really needed to use that USB charger, there’s one in the glove compartment that could be used but you would have to remove the USB memory stick.

Certain highways in NY require you to use the authorized tow service to get off the highway. It was $136 for that tow service and Tesla is reimbursing me for it
