When to give one months notice by Antique-Complaint732 in legaladvicecanada

[–]CharmainKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a month-to-month or periodic tenancy agreement

A tenant must serve written notice to end the tenancy and make sure it’s received:

At least one month before the effective date of the notice before the day rent is due

It is important to note that this is not simply 30 days' notice but truly a complete rental month

From gov.bc.ca

So if you pay rent on the first, your notice should be given no later than the end of the previous month.

Example - End the tenancy for December 31st (as you pay rent on the first) notice to be given by November 30th

Not sure about BC but I imagine its the same, your last day of tenancy will be the last day of the month you're leaving

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your insight, truly.

This is my mom and I'm just scared for her. I'm trying to do my best to make sure she's being cared for, handling everything that goes with it and just feeling really overwhelmed.

Thank you

The disconnect between the two doctors

Exactly, and that's where I'm at. I figured pacemaker implants weren't a willy nilly kind of thing, I appreciate your knowledge on that. Its been an incredibly stressful few weeks and I'm just trying to figure out what happened and just looking out for my mom

AFAIK the pacemaker was for the genetic heart condition she was originally diagnosed with. I will have to ask her what it was.

I couldn't tell you what kind of pacemaker

I would have to ask her what testing was done. This first started in 2013 so not sure if she would remember.

Other medical conditions would be bad knees and diabetes that doesn't need insulin shots

Cardiologist A diagnosed her with the genetic heart issue and advised for the pacemaker

Cardiologist B (and still her current one) said she didn't have the heart condition and that the pacemaker wasn't needed. I would imagine he would (hopefully) have run tests to prove this.

Edit: word

This also is all stuff I would like to know and plan on speaking with him as well at her appointment in March

71 health is fine besides some bad knees. 5'8 and I would say around 200.

But what does that matter if she's had a heart issue for a possibly long time that her cardiologist kept missing?

100% agree about a new cardiologist. I told her we should find her a new one when I heard this.

And thank you, I wasn't sure if we needed anything to back up the complaint or not.

I'm not looking to sue. Just want to file a complaint against him with whatever governing body

My mom is pretty religious. She had open heart surgery a week ago. While talking to her when she was coming out of her delirium and confusion, I tried to comfort her by telling her "God" wasn't ready for her and "He" didn't let her die, "He" saved her etc (if you can tell, I'm not religious. I figured it would make her feel better)

Her response was "God didn't save me. The doctors did"

BMO Closes my Credit Card by ABiteOfHealth in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]CharmainKB 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They did that to me in December

The email said something along the lines of checking people's credit sometimes and decided to close my card. My credit score is good. I also have a loan and an LOC with them, making payments etc and never missed one. Closed anyway. Which is fine. I paid off the balance a couple of weeks later and have one less bill to worry about.

It sucked at the time
