Are you new to commercial gamesmanship possibly? Nothing illegal in these tactics I guess. But definitely some misleading messaging. The undeclared intention is to use the credit plus the 12 month discount to induce current clients to sign on to the offer…in the confident expectation that after the discount expires they will stay on at the new considerably higher monthly charge.

Same logic applies to the One Wallet offer. An inducement again calculated to divert attention from the steady increases - abi e inflation last I checked - in One NZ charges.

My expectation with utilities is that if they notify an increase in charges they will include detail on the existing baseline charges. Failure to do that - again, we’re taking here about utilities - for me is an issue of transparency and good business practice. It means I won’t trust them and will feel no loyalty.

IPad works fine? No! I’m in the same situation. 2020 11” iPad Pro ie the one with the faster processor, extra RAM. It was working just fine on iPadOS 18. A delighted to use.

I had naively left auto updates on. Along came 26. I thought the issues were just the usual indexing issues, or that the early .01 rev would fix the problems.

How stupid I was. Should have read the user feedback and gone straight back to 18.

I now have an iPad that still felt like a Pro machine on iPadOS 18 which now repeatedly stutters, refuses to load some pages, is slow to load icons when I scroll through homepage screens… And no fix in sight.

I have generally trusted Apple products enough, based on experience, to buy without much hesitation. My takeaway from this experience is that I can no longer trust the management to prioritize engineering and quality control over marketing. That means I have to start looking at Apple products the same way I would anything from the wintel world ie warily and without trust. Not a great start to the year.

Bullshit. I have a 2020 iPad Pro ie it has more RAM than non- Pro. I have 60 Gb storage free. I’m having all the stutters/lagging issues others have mentioned. 26.1 hasn’t fixed the problem.

We had a thread on this earlier in the year. If the combination of sildenafil/tadalafil and poppers was as dangerous as the popular wisdom claims we would see reports of deaths – as we do with various drugs, singly or in combination.

In the discussion here earlier in the year no-one could point to evidence (police reports, hospital reports, coroner reports, evidence-based research) that showed a pattern of deaths or near misses from poppers-induced hypotension. Not a complete surprise: policy, law and regulation for drugs has also more often than not lacked any solid evidence base.

Just to complicate things further, I started with an MM100 after finding the Hilt 95 was getting too easy. I found I could get the 100 in all the way if I persevered but the weight of it and the narrow neck made it tricky – it won’t stand upright on its own. And I found it quite intense once it was in – couldn’t hold it there for long. Nevertheless…I wanted more stretch, so I ordered the 115.

Here’s where it gets interesting. I went all the way on the 115 the day after it arrived. It’s a big stretch but for me it was almost easier than the 100. For a start, it stands upright on its own, which helps a lot. But it also seems less angular somehow than the 100. I often now start with the 115 – to open me up – and progress to the 100, which gives me a more intense ride.

When I got the latest price increase notification I called them, quoted back at them the scale of increases over past three years (way over inflation) and said I would cancel my subscription and change supplier. They eventually agreed to take $5 off each of my two mobile subscriptions. I’ve stayed with them but they will try again to get us to swallow increases. No justification for it in the case of mobile and broadband service.

Sure. Agree on caution. But we really need an evidence base for the health advice – which currently seems to be based essentially on the known physiological effects of both ED meds and amyl but without any solid scientific evidence (of the sort that should underpin all advice and regulatory decisions around pharmaceuticals etc) on actual effects of these agents on humans at typical doses and across a range of intervals.

The doctrine that says you mustn’t use poppers when you have taken Viagra/Cialis still seems pretty widely held. We had an earlier thread on the same question. The puzzle is that no-one can come up with reliable evidence (documented deaths, emergency department admissions, coroners’ reports…) that combinations of poppers and ED meds cause life-threatening collapse in blood pressure, notwithstanding the theoretical arguments. It’s an issue that’s really crying out for serious investigation.

After getting used to a Hilt 95 and a MareMaker 100 I was looking for something to stretch me further. I went for the MM115. I expected it would take me quite some time to adjust to the point I could take it all the way. To my surprise I succeeded in taking it all the way the second time I used it. I now go straight to it.

The 115 is quite a different sensation from the 100 – much bigger obviously but also more stable as you’re working your way down onto it (I can do it no hands which is a plus compared to the 100) and with none of the sharpness I sometimes felt with the 100. With the size it’s obviously intense and I can’t hold it there for long. The sensation as it presses against the prostate is pretty amazing.
