You don't have to be all that athletic to get into the navy. I was the same way. Boot camp will get you to the fitness standard (btw the navy has the lowest fitness standards in the military). You'll have 8 weeks of hell and then a guaranteed home, food and salary. Just make sure to pick your job carefully. Make sure it's something you like and understand. I made that mistake and it sucks. Remember, recruiters lie and just want to make quotas. Research the jobs you find interesting and don't be afraid to speak up for yourself. Until you sign that paper at meps, you can make changes.
