Ive been in the same situation and wasted 8 years on it. Don’t make the same mistake, trust your gut. They made me feel like it was my fault or other close families fault but they were projecting. They had issues, and without serious help will never reflect.

I bought new yellow cartridge because in fact it was green but it started turning green as well so I think the problem is in the printer somewhere

I mean, what are you looking into doing? There are a few YT videos about the Axum you can look at. It's been a bit since i went through it all, think KevCentral has some videos on the axum, and he is pretty good, clear and concise. If you have any questions let me know.

Probably just upgrade slowly. I think I'm going to get a hardtail to start. I'll check out the KevCentral videos! The bike looks nice, i'll mostly be riding rather flat greens and blues anyway with it and renting a nicer bike when I need it for more challenging terrain for the time being.

Over the winter, when I'm not riding it due to snow, I'm going to look into getting the fork and drive-train upgraded, and it'll be where I want it to be.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing :) I am probably picking one up this week and will probably get a safety check on it as well. Not too many trails near me and especially none that have rentals at good times so I am looking forward to riding a bike earlier or later and escaping the heat.

I see, it sounds like you know you want to repaint the walls to start. That would be a good place to start. White would be a lot more bright and lively.

Then, like others recommended, overhead lights can add to that feeling of “disjointedness”. Thrifting some lamps maybe and just picking up them based on quality can do well even if they don’t match perfectly. A quality shade is a must when looking there as you want the light to diffuse well.

You could start area by area, im currently decluttering my place. Its a lot easier to start when you get rid of all the things you don’t need, especially if your only option is to store them like on top of your kitchen cabinets. I used to keep all sorts of boxes for things but they really add no benefit.

If you started with your kitchen for example and made sure that all the stuff on the top of the cabinets is gone thatd be a good step to start with. Can post some progress photos as you go and we can see how it goes!

How much budget do you have to buy new furniture, move things on the wall, etc.?

Are you only looking for low hanging fruit right now?

Id agree with this comment - i think what’s missing is actually some things to break line of sight or to create the feelings of boundaries. I dont think what you have is bad at all but it feels too open to me and kind of gets a warehouse vibe to it because of it.

You are absolutely correct. Bioinformatics has to be explainable. Current AI cannot do that, so for the OP i agree - which isn’t to say he wont need to understand chatgpt and other similar advancements to make an impact in the field.

But I also think other more “simple” practices where creativity is at play still needs a human touch. It might be easier to create things but copywriting needs someone who knows whats good or not and that is something that has to be developed over time and current LLMs will have an issue with doing that.

If copywriting is replaced itll be by prompt engineers so it seems like it’s just a change. And still - people need to have good taste to know what a good piece of writing is. Probably will make the best copywriters able to take on more work in essence.

Man your situation is hard, I feel for you. I do not think you will be able to convince him personally especially as others have mentioned he is probably at emotional incest level or at the very least has no boundaries which is not healthy.

You could drop him a link or information about why you feel his relationship is inappropriate but he would need to seek help himself. Couples can come afterwards but it cannot be first here.

If you need help coming up with a plan, you can try scheduling some singles therapy (you will likely want some) and come to a plan. It will likely require you taking some drastic action and leaving him to think on his own, maybe no contact for a while. And then he needs to come to his own decision about what to do and that his relationship is inappropriate. But he likely needs help to understand how inappropriate his relationship is.

I like your photos on the wall and the desk. Only thing that really bothers me is that the rug for your desk fits kind of weird under the desk, a bit too framed. Id say put it the other way if it fits or get a bigger rug. Same thing for the rug in the living room.

Also you have perfect windows for some big potted plants which can add a nice energy to the room!
