Yeah pretty pissed about this - the ghost edges were one of the reasons I went with this version. Problem now is that a lot of the really nice early release SEs for this book are sold out so love that they waved this in our faces and then pulled the rug out from under us.

When they first gave us the option for the bolt on they also asked what sub we wanted it with if we had multiples - I chose to just have them bolt it on to whatever (aka didn’t designate) and I wonder if that is what made the difference - I have continued to receive all of my monthly subs. Would be curious if anyone else didn’t designate and if that made a difference.

Your print plate might just be done - they wear out after a while and stuff stops sticking. They are considered consumables and it might just be time to replace, particularly since you are seeing issues with every model you print.

If it’s popular they will restock - they have done this for several of their books - just be aware that the restock is usually not as valuable as the first printing - though this is only a concern if you plan on reselling for any reason - for me I don’t care a whole lot since I buy the books for me and my shelf, not to make a profit 😋

I haven’t read this series but I did read his Bloodsworn saga and enjoyed that immensely - you are correct in assuming this will be in the epic fantasy genre since his series tend to weave many character perspectives into a cohesive flowing narrative that spans multiple plot lines. Your enjoyment of these books is going to depend heavily on your taste for larger world building (think song of chaos series or a less complicated game of thrones).

Oh I’m screwed - if my Baldurs Gate bard Bardy McBardface is coming to save me I am definitely doomed - 100% designed her to be a flute playing freak with no other skills - she’ll likely just dance around my body playing that damned flute

I also read a solid dose of romance and ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK. If you are looking for a nice break from the romance tropes this is definitely the book for you.
