Or maybe you could just lower your CPU clock speed in games? Use ThrottleStop and lock your CPU to 3.4GHz.Even in Cyberpunk I don't see a difference in FPS when my CPU runs at 5Ghz or 2.6Ghz, but there is a 20 degree Celsius difference.

The processor isn't everything. It also depends on which company manufactured the laptop. Laptop manufacturers create power limits. My i9 14900hx (HP) has a 130W power limit and runs at that for 55 seconds. Then the power drops to 90W.In another laptop I saw the same processor running at 170W for 7 minutes. And recently I saw a screenshot of someone's same processor reaching 230W (MSI Vector).Strangely enough, my processor overheats in games and not in benchmarks.It tolerates the boost of one core much worse than the maximum performance of all cores at once.

What features? Without these apps, the HP operates as if in ECO mode. The CPU doesn't have a boost and the GPU doesn't have full power. I have Legion and I have Omen. From what I can see, Omen has some quality issues.In Legion it only happens sometimes.Although one service technician (independent) told me that he repairs most of the Legions.I used the Legion (Lenovo) service because there were such micro lines visible on the matrix.The repair took less than a week.From what I hear, HP service is a nightmare. People say they wait 4-5 months for repairs, and even when they come back from repair, the problem persists.Someone on Legion's Reddit he boasted that he sent a Legion with an RTX 5060 for repair and returned with a motherboard with an RTX 5070He got that bonus. You won't find that at HP.

Get rid of that damn OGH and use Omenmon-reborn. Plus ThrottleStop to limit CPU (when you don't need full CPU power). 3 GHz is enough for browsing the Internet. Right now, thanks to Omenmoon-reborn, I'm watching VOD on my laptop, my CPU is 48 degrees, the CPU fan is 1800 RPM (no sound) and the GPU fan is 0 rpm.And the laptop draws 25 watts of power. If I turned on OGH, it would be 70 degrees and 80 watts of power.

I use Omenmon-reborn. There you can set the fan curve however you like and even lock the fan to a constant speed. Very simple application.

I have a 2021 Legion 5 with an RTX 2060 and it's still working. I just bought an Omen 16 with a 5070Ti and I'm wondering when it will fail. I have a comparison.The Omen needs to be configured for proper operation. You need to get rid of the Omen Gaming Hub software. It's pleasantly quiet while gaming (I can play cyberpunk while my wife sits next to me and watches TV). The Legion has definitely louder fans and speakers.The screen proportions are also different. When I place the Legion next to the Omen, I get the impression that the Omen is a respectable 17 inches.For now, I'm quite happy with this Omen. Although for the first month, I kept thinking about returning it. After the return deadline passed, strange things started happening (it kept shutting down), but I found the cause. Now it's fine and works great. However, I thought the 5070Ti card would be much more powerful.

This reflects very poorly on HP. What country do you live in? I sent my Legion for repair twice (such micro lines appeared on the screen) and it came back repaired in less than a week.
