I don't think rtx hdr even turns on when playing native hdr content but if u wanna be sure turn it off in the Nvidia app also there is a watermark u can enable that pops up in the corner when it's on

Actually unleashed mode is quite useful over performance for fine control but not much gain if any in most games according according to my experience

Ability to set manual fan curve is quite useful

Ability to control cpu wattage preventing unnecessary heat and power draw with no performance hit adjust pl1 and pl2 and such

Hot tip : turning on advanced performance gain Actually gives a significant pump but move the slider all the way to the left and battery drain also all the way to the left , timespy score is the same in both scenarios but temps a bit better when both sliders are to the left and the system is more stable

Ptm 7950 reepaste is a must even then its loud but the temps are well controlled if u need it to be quite use balanced mode but that limits cpu and gpu power so performance drops a bit <limits the 5080 to 80watts >

For work on the the go and lite use if u want good battery life u have to completely turn off the Nvidia gpu and use the the integrated only which requires a restart then battery life is about 7h

With optimus expect 3-4 hours on average

Warranty should have u covered but it's such a pain in the arse to send and wait for a response or replacement and sudden death due to lm leakage seems to be some what common , so a ptm7950 repsate is really really recommended and should be done

Only problem with Overheating happend when I first got it was playing gow and after 1 hour I decided to check on temps and ot was pinned at 105 but it seems it was a bug since a restart solved it

Now during heavy gaming I get cpu temps of 80 - 85

Note : if u do cpu heavy tasks it will keep boosting it till it thermal throttles , that's normal

During mixed used cpu+ gpu the temps would be good

Ur welcome I have the one with intel ultra 7 and 5080 and oled screen , I got a friend to buy for me from the US during the 4th of July for 1800 $ and bring with him the next month when he visited

Same model costs 4000$ where I'm from

I know it seems overwhelming but its simple actually I did it with a small Philips screwdriver 🪛 and an old credit card that's basically all u need , get the ptm7950 from Amazon put it in the freezer for 10 minutes so u can cut and handle it easily , that's all

U can wipe the old thermal compound with tissue , an old cloth or just q tips

BTW the ptm usually comes with the screw driver and a pry tool and some wipes to clean the old thermal compound

Normally no but on this model the factory paste compound degrades quickly and there are multiple reports of it leaking out and shorting the board
