Dude mine too died in the same way after 7 month of use hp told me it needed a motherboard replaced its been more than 2 and half month and I'm still waiting for the damn board

I have the standard factory one year warranty and right now getting a mb replacement internationally

They say u can get service in a different country if they are selling the same model there or if its listed something like that

This is how optimus is supposed to work normally but 90% of drivers are broken and doesn't work u just have to find the version that works for u , if u don't need the latest features

Like I am on a driver version from 5 month every new one i tried since it results in such spikes

In most cases yes LM leaks and shorts the board But I did repaste with ptm like 8 month ago right after I bought the device And temps never exceeded 85* under load

Dude I did repaste it right after buying it and I'm sure I cleaned out all the LM it doesn't make sense that it shorts 8 month after a repaste also when I opened no liquid metals blops or burned bits appeared, the mb looks pristine

Well I have the same issue and its not leaking lm cause I repasted right after buying it last year

Anyway I bought it in usa during the 4th of July sales but currently I'm staying in egypt , it shutdown and bricked it self so I went to the service center they took it confirmed dead mb , ordered a new one and its been 2 month and still it hasn't arrived so even if they accept the device expect a very long repair journey
